Mission 8: Meeting with Werewolf Agency

Jonah:

Jonah leaned on a wall in the training room of the Circle agency. He had just finished training, and was taking a break before starting again. Instead of talking to Noah about what happened at the club, Jonah spent his time avoiding him by training. He wanted to talk to him about it, but thinking about what Noah could potentially say to him made Jonah realize something.

He liked Noah. And he didn't want to hear that Noah didn't like him, or that he was straight. He didn't want that awkward feeling between them that would keep them from hanging out. But, if they never addressed it, things would probably be awkward, anyway.

Jonah saw Noah walking towards him out of the corner of his eye, and immediately snapped out of his thoughts. Noah smiled at him as he got closer. His smile was one of the things Jonah liked about him. He smiled with his whole face. His eyes would crinkle at the corners, and his mouth would turn up, showing some of his teeth. And his deep, brown eyes would almost have a sparkle to them, as if he was looking into a light that showed up on his eyes. And he had such nice skin. It was a caramel that...Jonah had drifted right back into his thoughts.

"Jonah?" Noah said, waving his hand in front of his face.

"Sorry, I zoned out. What's up?"

"I just came to talk to you, we haven't talked all day."

"Yeah, I know. I've been busy training." And avoiding you.

"Well, do you mind taking a break?"

"Yeah, we should talk anyways."

Noah looked at Jonah expectantly, assuming he was starting off the conversation. "I guess...I wanted to talk about last night," Jonah said in a low voice, not wanting anyone to overhear them. "Last night, when we were leaving the club, it seemed like you were going to...kiss me." He looked down, avoiding Noah's gaze.

"Well, yeah, I was. But, it didn't seem like the right thing to do. We were both drunk after all." Noah answered.

Jonah was silent, thinking about what Noah said. "Um...do you like me? Noah?" Jonah asked, finally looking up at the man.

"Yeah, I do, wallflower. I've liked you for a while now, actually. I was gonna tell you last night, but then I started drinking to calm my nerves down, and well, you know the rest."

Jonah smiled. "Well, I guess you should know," Jonah paused, and looked at Noah, "I like you too."

Noah's worried look was immediately replaced by his beautiful smile, the tension leaving his face.

"And by the way, last night proved that I am not a wallflower. I danced plenty." Jonah said.

"That's only because you were drunk. You would have never pulled that off sober." Noah said, laughing a little.

"Yes, I could have." Jonah said.

"You wanna test that? We could go back tonight...?"

"I already proved it last night." Jonah said hastily. "Me being drunk doesn't change anything."

"Ok, sure." Noah said. He was full on grinning now.

"I've gotta go." Jonah said, and quickly walked off.

"Hey," Noah said, catching up to him and putting a hand in his arm. "I'll see you later, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'll be back here soon." Jonah said.

Noah nodded, and took his hand off his arm.

Jonah walked to the entrance of the room, and looked back at Noah, who was watching him leave with a smile. He waved at him and Jonah waved back. He then exited the room.
