it's been four days since our kiss. and every single one of the those days. he has been on mind.

but it wasn't enough. because I haven't tried to talk to him. in fact I've been making myself busy just so I had a reason to avoid him.

he didn't try texting me either. therefore in my mind he hasn't made effort to come talk to me.

and this was my fault

but he has made the effort. he had came over and knocked on her door. he had opened up their messages and even typed something but never had the guts to click send.

it was until corey, his best friend decided to say something.

"dude what's up with you?" corey asked daniel, as the two sat across from each other as they ate breakfast

"what do you mean?" daniel questioned, completing oblivious that whatever he was feeling on the inside had showed up on the outside

"you just seem off, you're joking around less, what's up?" corey asked "also, have you talked to y/n? crawford told me that you two were hanging out a lot"

"yeah were" daniel said

"did his plan not work?" corey asked "I thought it would've, in fact it was probably one of the smartest things the dude has said" corey jokingly dissed on his best friend, crawford

"in a way it did work" daniel mumbled "she opened up to me and I thought feelings were coming up but I don't know, it's all confusing at the moment" he sighed

"what's confusing about it? and what do you mean by in a way?" corey questioned "I know something happened between the two of you, recently" he said "by how vaguely you're talking" he explained, chuckling

"we um- we kissed" he admitted

"LETS GOOO!" Corey cheered, surely getting stares from around the room

"but we haven't talked to each other since" daniel rubbed his face, frustrated with some part of the situation

"oh, well when did you guys kiss? she's probably just trying to figure stuff out" Corey assured

"saturday, we kissed saturday afternoon" Daniel said "it's wednesday" he groaned

"oh damn" Corey said "well, are you giving her time? because why haven't you reached out to her?" he asked

"i tried" he admitted "I would literally type a message to meet up but I would never send it. I've actually called her but I've hanged up before the first ring and I've knocked on her door" he said "three times, there's no way I got that unlucky" he murmured

"knowing y/n she's just as confused, and maybe you got unlucky but she probably has been keeping herself busy" Corey said "not that she doesn't care but that she doesn't want to admit something and she's just avoiding you" Corey said

"If she was avoiding me then obviously she doesn't care" Daniel stated, pushing away his food "I'm not hungry anymore" he murmured
