"so am I officially a matchmaker?" Corey asks, walking over to us

"not this time" Daniel answers and I turn my head from Corey to him. I thought we weren't going to say anything.

"Do you mean like in the future?" Corey says

"or the past" he answers. I thought wrong.

"Are you saying you guys dated before?" Corey asks and Daniel nods his head "when?"

"Highschool" Daniel states and stands up "for almost three years" and he walks back inside.

"So what did you say?" Corey asks me

"We just talked about big stuff that happened in 2019" I shrug

"And then?" He asks

"And then I said we were better off as friends" knowing what he was looking for.

"That explains it" Corey says

"I know and when I said it, at least after he seemed fine with it" I shrug

"Didn't you say something about if you two met again you would date him" Corey recalls

"I did" I simply answer "but that was a while ago, things change, people change"

"Y/n, just because he has blonde hair doesn't mean he's a different person" Corey jokes

"Okay, how about this. We broke up because we didn't want to hold each other back. On top of that we had the media watching us." I pause "this whole year we have been very productive, so the reason we broke up was worth it" I assure, myself.

"You have five months" he says "but for now let's get inside and do the countdown!" He cheers

"Five months until what?" I mumble, and follow him back inside.

I go back inside and I stand next to Crawf and Nezza. As the big group we are, there was one big circle and many smaller ones.

I was handed a small plastic wine cup, with a bit of champagne. Corey and Daniel soon stood next to me. Once we heard someone start the countdown, we all soon joined in once it hit ten.

"Nine"

"Eight"

"Seven"

"Six"

"FIve"

"FOur"

"THREe"

"TWO!"

"ONE!! HAPPY NEW YEARS!"

We all drank from our own cups of champagne. Some of the guys dispersed into the front yard, cheering and shouting. While some people got some water to prepare to head home.

I was planning on spending the rest of the night with Nezza and Franny and a few other girls but Crawford called me over to help take pictures of the guys.
