"I'm just introducing you guys"
"Okay, and I'm fine with that" I say
"If things take off th-" I simply shake my head and he stops talking "c'mon you guys have so much in common"
"Like what?" I genuinely ask Corey
"You two just have the same energy, you both are really nice and you both put people in front of yourselves" Corey explains "plus he's been single for years" he laughs "he says he's had a girlfriend and they broke up a year ago but he never talks about her, so I think he's making it up"
"I don't talk about my ex" I say "and why would he make that up?"
"To stop us from teasing" Crawf laughs
"That actually makes sense" I nod taking a sip of my drink.
"I'm guessing you're staying over" Crawf nudges me
"Probably" I laugh "so how long for this new person to show up?"
"Oh, he's definitely not new in the group. Just new to you" Corey explains "actually, he's been in the group way longer than you have"
"So it doesn't make sense how we never talked about him" Crawf laughs
"The friend group is quite big" I nod "I'm going to go inside"
"Too cold for you" Oscar says rejoining Corey and Crawford.
I make my way back inside, standing behind the couch making small talk with William and Dylan.
"Let me guess, you got cold" Will says and I nod "isn't Portland like colder?" He asks
"It can be, but I've lived here for a bit so I'm used to this weather" I explain "the hot weather" I add
"Y/n!" Crawford shouts entering the house "come here" he waves his hand calling me over. I excuse myself from yet another duo and I go back outside following Crawford.
"What is it now?" I ask
Crawford moves out of the way "this is-"
"daniel" I say quietly and he shoots his head from Corey to me
"y/n"
"Wait, you two know each other?" Oscar says
"Dang, and I thought I was going to be playing matchmaker" Corey laughs
"So, how do you know each other?" Crawford asks, there was a small pause of silence so Daniel spoke first.
"We used to go to high school together" he answers
Then the four boys turn to me. I shake my head slightly, blinking to break my gaze at Daniel, glancing at Crawf, Oscar, then Corey before speaking "we also used to" I pause "nevermind" I mumble
"Somethings going on here" Oscar says taking notice between Daniel and I
"Y/n? You good?" Crawf asks and I look up from the ground to him, nodding my head.
