THE DOOR
The wind brushes against my cheeks
As I stand on the rock hard asphalt
The chills I'm getting are just getting started.
As I walk up to the treacherous door,
I'm feeling brave.
But in a moment,
It will be gone
And I will leave
Again.
I push forward.
Too many times
Have I done this
Yes,
I have done this many times.
I should know the outcome,
But the door
It's shining with fear
And worry
And risk.
No,
I will open the door
I will unlock the secrets behind it
Because even though I am frightened
I must face the fears
In front of me
Because that door
is my
Future.

PoetryA few poems I have written. The last two are from a romance novel I am currently writing and the first is one I am thinking of entering into a contest. This is really going to be my place where I will put all my poems.
