In an instant everything was gone
That snap of the finger
Those startling words
His voice mouthed
'Good Bye'
I shuddered
He slammed the door behind himself.
I walked
Over to lock it
His footsteps pounded against my ears
Echoing
Calling
'You shouldn't have done it'
'You shouldn't have done it'
'You shouldn't have done it'
These are the words I should be thinking
I was listening to a whole new train of lies
'I didn't do it'
'I didn't do it'
'I didn't do it'
These were, of course
Lies
Because, in reality
I really
Did.
