The Never Ending Road

On Monday morning

I sat down and said

This is a great day

To lay in my bed

But my mom said no

That just won't do

We should go on a road trip

That would be new!

So I was forced to go pack

My belongings and such

I packed everything

You could hear, see, or touch

I jumped in the car

And buckled up

I looked out the window

And saw a pup

She was on a leash

And I thought Oh my!

I feel just like you

Hot in July!

So then I thought

I should leave my abode

And go along with this

On the never ending road

2 hours in

I'm gonna explode!

Can't hold it no longer

On this never ending road

Finally a stop

For an energy reload

Finally a stop

On this never ending road

We're finally here!

We quickly unload

And look back down

The never-ending road

The water is refreshing

The sand is yellowed

But I'll never forget

The never ending road
