Also, I don't really know if Kunugigaoka JHS is really in Tokyo. And this like a long-story-short kind of one shot. Just bear with me >.<!

"We were best friends... close rivals... partners in crime. But we failed to face each other about our honest feelings."

"So... best friends aren't suppose to keep secrets from each other right?" The blonde said, deciding to break the silence between her and the red head. That caught Karma's attention.

"Why? You got something to tell me?" He asked.

They are currently walking home together like always. Walking in the orange sunset, next to each other, with a peaceful silence reigning between them. But today suddenly felt different.

Karma was feeling uneasy.

He glanced at the blonde who was looking down on her feet as they continued to walk. "Remember when this lunch break, Sugaya and I were tasked to deliver that thick answer sheets we answered?" She started, Karma nodded. "What about it?" He asked, acting all calm when he knows he's feeling uneasy inside.

"He confessed and asked me out." Karma's tracks stopped causing her to stop too. A sudden hope rising within her, as she glanced at the red head. But it all died down when he was smiling happily at her.

"Hmm..? So what did you say?" He asked, and their eyes met. She felt a sharp pain on her chest, seeing that expression of his. Why...? She thought. "I... I haven't given him my answer yet." She answered, turning her back and continued to walk.

Little did she know, he was clenching his fist inside his pocket and controlling his facial expressions.

"Maybe, I should make my move too." He muttered, but she heard and stopped her tracks looking back. And again, she had this rising hope.

"To who?" She asked. He smiled.

"To Okuda."

"How'd it go with Sugaya?" He asked about the topic that they were talking about yesterday, it's another after school. Where they get to walk home together.

"I accepted his confession, and said that we could go out." She answered blankly, he raised an eyebrow, but he realized her answer and suddenly felt blank.

"Oh." He muttered. Why tho? He thought.

"Did you make your first move at Okuda?" She asked him suddenly, but his head was in the clouds and answered bluntly at her.

"Yeah, I did." He answered.

"And..?" She asked, curious. She was clenching her fist, tightening her grip on her bag. So he wasn't joking. She thought.

"It was okay, I guess. She was blushing." He just answered, still looking up, she looked down this time. Their heads were elsewhere and didn't even bother about the awkward but dull silence between them

It wasn't right.

"And he chose her."
"And she chose him."

"Hey. I forgot to tell you this break. Okuda and I are going out now." The red head suddenly mentioned and the blonde stopped her tracks. She felt her world crumbling for some reason. She felt deaf.
