Mandy's pov

It is now 12 am and Hailey's currently sleeping beside me. Kung nagtataka kayo bakit gising pa ako, kakatapos ko lang punasan at bihisan ng damit si Hailey. Luckily, may thermometer dito sa condo kaya nac-check ko ung temperature nya. She's now 38° so I can't help but to feel worried.

Sobang lakas parin ng ulan ngayon  at buti nalang meron nang kuryente.

What happened earlier, sobrang nag alala ako nung nag brown out kasi naalala kong takot si Hailey sa dilim. Tapos sinabayan pa ng malalakas na kulog at kidlat kaya mabilisang nagtapis lang ako ng towel at agad tumakbo papunta sa kinaroroonan ni Hailey.

I saw how afraid she is a while ago and I badly wanna remove that feeling of her. I dont wanna see her on that state cos she's making me worried. The only thing I knew to minimize her fears is to hug her.

I want her to feel that I'm always with her and that she's not alone in this darkness.

"Hailey, wake up. You need to take your medicine"

Every 4 hours, she should take her meds kaya naman nag aalarm ako para magising ako at gisingin ko naman sya.

There's a part of me na nagsasabing mabuti nalang nandito si Hailey sa tabi ko ngayon. Dahil alam ko na wala ang parents nya sa tabi nya. Pano nalang kung andun sya ngayon sa bahay nila? Sino nalang ang magpapakalma sa kanya lalo pa at sobrang lakas ng ulan ngayon.

Nakita kong uupo na si Hailey kaya agad akong lumapit sa kanya para alalayan sya.

" what time is it, maam?" Mahinang tanong nya sakin.

"12:00 am. Here, take this"

Iniabot ko sa kanya ung gamot at baso na may lamang tubig at agad nya naman itong ininom.

"What are you feeling? Are you cold? Feeling dizzy?"

Sunod sunod na tanong ko sa kanya. Err! I cant help it! She really looks so sick and gosh! Nag aalala na talaga ako!

"Should I take you to the hospita-"

"Maam, I'm fine. Lagnat lang to. Mahiga ka nalang sa tabi ko please, maam?"

Like what she said, I laid down beside her and slowly stroke her hair.

"You still afraid,hmm?" Malambing na sabi ko sa kanya.

I dont know, but there's an urge that making me wants to kiss her.

I dont know fuckin why! She's my student for Pete's sake so why am I thinking these things on her!

"Hindi na po. Cos you're here"  unti unting tumingala si Hailey sakin at agad akong napatingin sa lips nya.

She have this pinkish lips that pushes me to do some things that'll make me regret at the end..

I composed myself because of not so good thoughts of mine.

You're a teacher Mandy!

"Maam, I remember your secret. You're still inlove with someone. But I hope I have a chance to call you mine. I'll wait for you, maam. Just please, don't close your heart and give me a chance"

Hindi ko maiwasang mapaiwas ng tingin kay Hailey dahil sa sinabi nya.

I still am affected.
