Childhood Sweethearts (Thingamajig X Reader)

You walked down the pathway of the noisy park,admiring the sites and sounds of happy kids playing in the play area and the smell of a nearby barbecue that was over at the gazebo in the centre of the park. "What a lovely day." You happily said to yourself,not noticing a familiar figure walking on the same path as you. It only took a few minutes to recognise the figure as your lifelong childhood friend Thingamajig,who gasped at the sight of you before happily running towards you,eyes full of happiness and joy.

You ran towards your friend and pulled him into the biggest hug you'd ever given him since being his friend. "It's so nice to see you again (Y/N), you look amazing." Thingamajig laughed whilst staring into your beautiful eyes,wanting nothing more than to get lost in them. "It's so good to see you too Thing." You responded back with an even bigger smile,the two of you walking towards the barbecue near the gazebo to grab some hamburgers to eat. "These are some pretty tasty burgers,and they're my favourite ones too...hot chilli." He squealed in a childish manner,sitting cross-legged whilst rocking back and forth due to excitement in being in your prescience again. "Well I'm glad you like them Thingamajig, I can also make similar burgers back at home." You laughed full-heartedly and with pure and utter joy, watching your childhood friend enjoy himself for the first time in two decades. Whilst eating your burgers,you looked around the park as a few groups had began to disappear and head home but you were pulled out of your thoughts when Thingamajig gently shook your shoulders to get your attention. "Hey (Y/N), can you come with me...pretty please???" He asked with puppy eyes,which you could NEVER say no to. "Okay." You smiled back at him,being dragged by your arm towards a large and rather steep hill.

Thingamajig,has a blanket prepared with a small little picnic that he'd secretly put together with the help of Flower,Mouse and Bee...he felt proud of himself for setting this up just so he could spend some time with you. "I-I asked you up here for a reason (Y/N)." He said, suddenly becoming shy as his green fur fluffed up. You immediately knew what he was going to ask as you gently took hold of his fluffy blue paws,rubbing over them with your thumbs. "What is it Thingamajig?" You asked in a soft sounding voice which could make even the toughest males melt at the sound. "WILLYOUBEMYGIRLFRIEND?!" The taller shy Male stuttered quickly,blushing beneath his fluffed up fur and hiding his face so he didn't have to hear the rejection but it never came. You took ahold of his paws and gently cupped his cheeks,smiling at him with tears in your eyes,blushing a deep shade of pink. "Of course I'll be your girlfriend...my precious boy." You announced,pulling him in for a tender kiss.
