The timelord sulked in his TARDIS for what felt like years. He was depressed, lonely and somewhat scared. He felt like his hearts and mind and soul had all been ripped out at once. Was this because of Rose? He had only tried to, what? Tell her she was the most beautiful person to have ever been in his life? Tell her she was clever and witty? Tell her that even her smile and laugh made him feel warm inside? No. Because he wasn't strong enough or brave enough to say any of that. He wasn't enough like her to step forward and tell people how he really felt.

He felt pained by his thoughts and decided to go for a walk somewhere. Somewhere on a beach? On a planet that had a fayre on? He had always loved Helter Skelters. And Big Wheels. His eyes gleamed and the child within him had been released. All that was left now was to run into the console room and pick a season in which to visit this fayre. Summer? Too hot. Autumn? To leaf-y. Winter? Reminded him too much of Rose. His hearts, or what was left of them, had snapped in two again and he stormed over to his ripped and battered flight seats. He sat for a few moments and thought. He thought of days and adventures he'd had with Rose. He thought of her, dressed in her beautiful pink, 50's dress. The one she wore when they'd visited 1950's England. "That was an eventful day out!" He laughed to himself and then sank back into his skin, realising his loneliness. He'd had enough. Jumping up a little too fast, he collapsed on the TARDIS console unit and pressed the cordinates at random. Then he sat back and watched his magnificent ship fly off into the time vortex, waiting for the adventure it had planned.
