The Next Step Oneshots

"What is wrong with you?" He rounds the corner into the green room, and sure enough, the rest of his team are slouching in the brown chairs, disappointed expressions all round.
"What is wrong with us?" Hurt flashes through his eyes at the accusatory tone in her voice and the rest of A-troupe shift uncomfortably as they try to ignore the romantic  tension between the two of them.
"Yeah," He replies, looking her in the eye, "Why don't you have any faith in him?"
"We do." Kingston says, but it sounds half-hearted.
"How he is supposed to find any motivation to perform well if no one here has his back?" His crystal eyes sharpen.
"Hey, we have his back, bro." Henry defends, "It's just-"
"Just what? What does he need to do to be taken seriously? Listen," He sighs, "I get that you all think I'm an idiot, but you have a reason. I missed my stupid flight. He is a great dancer, and he has proved that he cares about this team." There's a moment of silence.

"So, what are we going to do about it?" Piper arches her brows. But she's not being sarcastic, like before. She's looking to him for an answer. She believes in him. The corners of his mouth twitch.
"I told him that hashtag Ozzy resurrected would be trending by the end of tonight. So, I was thinking we all get T-shirts that spell it out, and right before he goes on stage, we all unzip our jackets to show him that he isn't a joke to the team and that we have confidence in him."
"That's a great idea." Kingston responds. His voice is surprisingly thick with emotion. After hearing Finn out, he feels awful about what he'd said earlier. 
"Let's do it." Kenzie agrees.
He claps his hands together. This was going to work, he knew it.

The team start heading back to their rooms to get supplies, and as she leaves, Amy pulls him aside. He's confused.
"You're not an idiot." He never expected her of all people to say that.
"I am." He looks down at his shoes.
"No, you're not." She whispers harsher, and his head snaps back up, "But you are, if you let her go."
"I'm not planni-"
"She does love you. So do not mess this up." He simply nods, pushing down the flicker of light within him as she says that Piper loves him. He was going to make it up to her, and not just for sleeping through his flight.

SPOILERS FOR 7X23

This episode won me over, I have to say. Finn and Ozzy's relationship was honestly so realistically portrayed and wholesome. Ozzy stepping up and proving the world wrong that he is superior was simply amazing. His solo was fantastic. I'm not going to discuss the t-shirts anymore because I will be in a puddle of tears. Finn was really out here trying to redeem himself left, right and centre, when his whole team (and the fandom) gave up on him. The end scene was cringey, but that was the point! That's who he is, big fish, little fish, cardboard box, so in my opinion it was truly beautiful. Piper's face lighting up was everything and the fact that what made her kiss him was him being punctual is so...HER. like, the writers really popped off.

Only complaint is that why was the writing not that excellent for the rest of the season?! And now the good part is all rushed. Like, if you were watching Dancemania on TV, is it like a 2 episode series? A part of me will always be disappointed that TNS didn't get Pinn together at the end of season 6, because that is the stronger season, and they'd still be pure. But, I did LOVE the episode still.
