"That part when the concierge guy-" She doesn't even finish her sentence. She doubles over, laughing so hard that her stomach hurts. He has the same manner. "This weekend," She says, a more serious tone dressing her words as the laughter ends, "it was really great."
"As always." He smiles. God, she loves his smile. For a split second, she wonders if that's a normal sentiment between best friends. But she brushes it off.
"So," She grins, "How are the preparations going? For your cousin's wedding?"
"Pretty good, actually." He replies as they sit down, "Although my older sister keeps insisting that I have a date for the wedding." He cuts himself off before he adds that his older sister kept teasing him about taking her, as a date.
"A date!" Finn. On a date. With a girl. Why does that bother her? She's just being protective, she guesses. "Cool."
There's a moment of awkward silence.
"Do you want to come?" He asks, unusually shyly for him.
"As friends?"
"Or, not as friends."
"As enemies?" She chuckles.
"No, as like, not friends, but the next level up."
"Best friends?" Oh, she was not getting this. Screw it. He takes her face in his hands, and she doesn't protest, so he kisses her.
She's kissing him. She's kissing Finn. And she doesn't hate it. In fact, it feels good. Better than good. She closes her eyes.
Kissing is phenomenal. Kissing is like fire, but good. And she wasn't pulling away, so he guesses he must be good at it. Ah, what did he expect? Of course he's good at it. They kiss for some time, before she finally turns away. She leans back in her chair.
"Huh. So, the next level up."
"Yeah."
She giggles. It's girlish and she feels giddy. He chuckles in response.
"Uh, wow." She lets herself say out loud.
"Yeah."

This is sort of, if Pinn happened naturally.
