*meanwhile.. *
"Capo, business has been booming and Don has decided to sign over Club On 7even to you," said Nico. "I knew the old bastard would come around," I said, with the biggest smirk plastered on my face. "Luca, you sure about this? I mean, Esme doesn't like the whole you-running a nightclub idea," warned Cardo. "I know, I know.. But I mean, what can go wrong?" I asked.

*EVENING*
I checked my phone and seen that Avery had messaged me; "Hey Mia! Check the classroom bulletin board online. Ryder posted our grades for the assignment!" The classroom bulletin board is basically a section of the university's website where students log into and can submit online assignments, check grades and communicate with classmates and professors. I opened my laptop and logged into our university's website. Scolling down I seen my grade. "98%." I slumped back into my bed.

*THREE WEEKS LATER*
"Hey Luca," called out Cardo as he walked into my office. I took off my glasses and sat back in my leather chair. "I don't know how you did it, but the renovations are done for your new night club," he continued. I smirked. "Let's have a grand opening tomorrow night at the club," I suggested. Cardo nodded.
"I'll call some people and set that up, but when are you planning to tell Esme?" he asked. I put my fingers over the bridge of my nose. "Pft. I've already told her.. Last night and let me tell you.. She was not happy," I replied. Cardo chuckled. "Esme probably raised hell, I bet," he added. I nodded.
"Well, she let me go through it, but she just thinks that'll bring a lot of problems assuming that most of the danger in the city happens at night," I said. "Well, Esme is a smart woman. She knows what she's talking about," smirked Cardo. "Ya-ya," I said laying back in my chair.

"Hey Mia, I heard that there's this new club in downtown that's having a grand open tomorrow night. Wanna go?" asked Avery. Shit, I think I deserve a night out. The only issue is, my parents. They fear for my safety all the time, I'm 22-years-old for fuck sakes. I should be able to go out when I want. I mean- they do let me go after us bickering back and forth from time to time, but then I'd have to bring one of dad's men with us whenever we decide to have a night out.
"What's wrong Mia?" asked Avery as she looked at me, concerningly. "Can I say that I'm just going to have a sleep over by you?" I blurted out. "What?" asked Avery confused. "Well-yea. You know everytime we have a night outting, dad will always have one of his men go with us. I just want to be able to have a night out without someone baby sitting us!" I said, sternly.
"I mean- Mia, there's a reason your father sends his men out with us, for you.. It's specifically for your safety, you know this," said Avery. "Well I just want it to be us girls. That's it," I replied. "Are you sure that's a good idea? " asked Avery hesitantly. I nodded. "Dad won't bother sending one of his men with me because he knows I'll be by you for the night and your parents will be home," I added. "Hmm, okay Mia. Let's hope this works," said Avery.

Later that evening, I was at the dinner table with my parents and brother. I figured that this would be a good time to bring up that I'm going to spend the night by Avery tomorrow. "Mom-dad," I called out to them. Their attention was now focused on me. "Is it okay, if I spent the night by Avery's house? Don't worry, her parents will be home." I said. My parents looked at each other. "Yeah that's fine," said Dad. My mother smiled.
I was a bit more relaxed. The next day, Avery and I spent the morning shopping for an outfit for tonight's outing. "You don't know how good it'll feel to actually go out and have a good time without dad's men watching over me," I said.
"I'm surprised they didn't question you," she replied "Well, I haven't really lied to them before about going out, so I guess they really think I'm going to your house to sleep over," I said. We laughed. Avery and I spent the rest of the day shopping and it was almost time to get ready for the club tonight.
Avery and I made our way to her house and there I met her parents before we headed upstairs. As I sat infront of the mirror and did my makeup, Avery was laying out her outfits she had bought. "I really don't know which outfit to wear," she said, indecisively. I giggled. "Wear the halter crop with the skirt," I said. She nodded.
"Sooo- how much do you really know about this club anyway?" I asked while I focused on doing my makeup. Avery tried on her outfit and inspected herself in her full length mirror. "Well, I've heard from a few people that this new club is called, Club On 7even. Their grand opening is tonight and rumors have it that it is absolutely GORGEOUS inside," she replied.
"Hmm, Club On 7even you say? Well it's always nice to have a little change once in awhile. Who knows, this probably will be our new spot," I said as I applied my lipstick. I slipped on my black-lace crop top, ripped jeans and black heels. "Ready?" asked Avery. I nodded. "Let's go, our ride is here," she said.
