Y/N's POV
Fliss turns her head in my direction as the man with the bottle wound drags me up the few steps to the top deck.
The other two men, including the one who seems to be in charge, are up here with Fliss. Her hands are untied, so one of them must have untied her because they need her to do things for them.
The man in charge, the one with the one blind eye, is talking to Fliss as the other man observes in the background by the steering wheel of the Duke.
I watch as Fliss's eyes widen.
She turns to the main guy. "What is she doing up here? You don't need her. I can give you whatever you need. Just, please. Don't..."
He laughs humorlessly. "I know you can give whatever I need. That's why I brought you up here and untied you." He nods to the man that brought me here.
I feel the rope around my hands get looser until my hands are free. I look back at the man with the bottle wound with a confused face before turning my attention back to the one in charge.
He smirks at me, turning his attention to Fliss and saying, "But I need her too. You two are in this together, are you not? She is your second in command, right?"
Fliss doesn't respond, only shooting me worried glances.
"I've been looking around up here and found some things. You can't hide anything from us. And so, she has triple uses."
Panic rises in my chest. "Triple uses?"
The man in charge nods. "Yes. Use one, to help your dear friend here help us with anything we could need because you know the boat. Use two, leverage in case your captain here decides to get difficult."
I see Fliss tense in front of me.
When she speaks, there's more hostility in her tone than what I've ever heard her use. "And use three?"
The man laughs coldly. "Junior, get the boy."
The man with the bottle wound, who I now know is Junior, starts to go below deck.
My eyes widen. "No! Leave him alone! I won't help you hurt him! I won't let you!" I'm about to run after Junior, but then the one in charge grabs Fliss and puts a hand around her throat.
He laughs. "This is too easy."
I freeze. "No. Please. I'm not going to move. Just release her."
The man listens, letting go of Fliss's neck with a smirk. "Good girl."
I look down at the floor.
He's won.
Conrad's POV
"You're going to regret this, you piece of crap! You're gonna rot in a cell!" I hear Fliss warn the men.
Before I know it, the same man I hit with a beer bottle earlier comes charging in, clocking me in the face.
