Brad's POV

I get out from under the bunk bed, swearing to myself. I try to take a deep breath. "All right... All right. Let's go." I turn on my small flashlight and go above deck, muttering encouragement to myself. I look up at the rusty ladder of the strange boat, my words of encouragement getting louder in an effort to strengthen the effects. I jump from the Duke, grabbing onto the ladder and climbing up into the boat.

Once inside, I look around at the vastness of it all.

It's... intimidating, to say the least.

I take another deep breath before starting to walk.

I have to find the others.

Fliss... Julia... Y/N... Conrad... Alex.

I just hope they're all okay. I hope I made the right call by hiding.

At least the kidnappers don't know I exist. I have the element of surprise.

I jump, a noise startling me suddenly. "Hello?" I question, slowly continuing forward. "Who's there?" The hair on the back of my neck stands straight up. "This can't be good."

I see something glistening on the floor and so I walk closer to it, bending down to pick it up.

It's a bracelet. Julia's bracelet.

"This is Julia's... they were here... okay! They were here," I reassure myself as I stand up, putting Julia's bracelet in my back pocket.

I keep wandering the boat, jumping backwards in shock when I enter a room of corpses clustered together and seemingly frozen in fear.

I try to calm my racing heart. "Holy shit on a shamrock! What happened here?"

I notice another corpse by itself not too far away from the cluster. He has an infantry badge for the fourteenth division on his arm. I stand up, following the faded arrow to the locker room.

More noises.

"Hello?" I question nervously.

The light flickers, blowing out and causing me to jump.

"Oh, crap!" I cry, my heart beating a mile a minute yet again. "Great. Perfect. Wonderful."

I step through the door in front of me, being greeted by corpses stuffed in lockers.

Without warning, they all slam shut one after the other, making my whole body shake.

I notice one of the lockers is slightly open so I walk over to it, opening it up to find instructions for something tapped at the back of it. I lean forward to read the paper, but a mask of a human face jumps out at me before I can.

I slam the locker shut immediately. "Screw this place!"

I keep walking forward, hearing a noise behind me. I turn around to find that same locker is slightly open again. I slowly go back over to it, cautiously opening it up to find...

A gas mask?

"What? That's not..." My forehead crinkles in confusion as I reach for the gas mask. "This could come in handy." I sling it over my back before continuing on, entering the bathroom.
