Annabeth's POV
I begged Percy to go with me. I had to go to a wedding for my aunt Aphrodite, ugh. I know what your thinking "Aphrodite?" Yes her name is Aphrodite. My grandfather had a fascination with Greek names, apparently, so he named my mom Athena and her older sister Aphrodite. This was Aphrodite's second marriage. She was nice and all but she was always so interested in my love life. She always seem to bring up Percy and I and question me to death about him. I mean come on. We were best friends for Gods sakes! Also I was only 14 and I didn't see the need to be in a relationship, at least not till I was older.
On account if it being a boring wedding for an aunt I knew would interrogate me, I begged Percy to go with me. At least then I would have him there for back up and we could hang out.
To my relief he said yes and now I had to get ready for this dang wedding.
Luckily I didn't have to be in it so no elaborate dress for me. I thanked all the Gods above for that. I was wearing a simple but elegant light grey dress that cut off right above the knee. It had a lower cut neck line, but not so low that you could see anything revealing. It hugged my hips and flowed out at the bottom. To say the least, I liked its simplicity and if I had to wear a dress I'm glad it was this one.
My mom insisted that I have some makeup on so she put some mascara, foundation, and strawberry lip-gloss on me. Simple, but I had to admit that it looked nice. My hair was down, brushed, and full of its natural wild curls.
My Mom wore a beautiful slimming black dress and my dad wore one of his usual black suits with a black ty to match my mothers dress.
It was a short drive to Percy's house. Now when I say I was shocked by his appearance, I mean shocked! I rang the Jackson house doorbell and waited. A minute later Percy answered the door decked out in his wedding suit. He had on nice black dress pants and black dress shoes, a nice white button up shirt with a black blazer and a light gray ty to top it all off. He looked amazing to say the least . His hair was still a bit of a mess, but it looked more calm and collected than usual.
I stared at him for another moment while he stared at me with his mouth slightly open and his eyes showing amazement.
"Annabeth you look stunning!" He exclaimed stepping closer to me. A bewildered smile radiating on his face.
"Thanks Seaweed Brain." I said with a slight blushful smile. "You don't look so shabby yourself." I smiled while gesturing towards him.
"Ah what this old thing?" He said looking down at his suit. He looked back at me and laughed. "Thanks Wise Girl." He said very sincerely. He stepped out shutting and locking the door behind him. He held out his arm for me to grab. "Shall we M'Lady?" He asked in an awful British accent. I laughed but agreed. After wrapping my arm around his he lead me to the car. Opening the car door for me and shutting it behind me before he got in the car too.
My parents gave us looks and smirks the entire drive over to the chapel. I swear they're crazy sometimes.

The wedding service wasn't as bad as I expected, but it was still very mushy. Lucky for me I had Percy their to joke with the whole time. Although, through most of it we had to be quiet.
Once the service was finally over it was time for the after party. It was in a beautiful banquet hall attached to the church. There were white and gold Christmas lights strung everywhere and the lighting was fairly dim. There was a huge dance floor in the center with lots of circular round tables surrounding it. There were seating cards on each table and with some time and effort we were finally able to find our table. We had a good view of my Aunts long white table where her, and her new husband, Ares Olympus(Ik what a coincidence right!), her bridesmaids, and his groomsmen sat.
