I Think I Always Knew That I loved Her......

Age 15/More New Friends ~ Chapter 6

Percy's POV

It had been a week since the girls completedly dominated Drew and Nancy in the hall and we had all started hanging out together. So far it had mostly just been at lunch, but a few days ago Annabeth had managed to get both the other girls to join the track team so now we got to hang out after practices too. My swim practice usually ends around the same time as theirs so it works out.

Right now we were all eating lunch together at one of the round wooden tables in the courtyard. We were talking and joking with each other and having a good time. Then a few varsity football players walked by. 

I recognized two of them as Jason Grace and Frank Zhang. Jason was a thin, muscular guy with striking bue eyes and close cropped blonde hair. Frank was tall and had a bit more meat on his bones  than Jason, but he was also very fit and muscular. His back hair was cropped similar to Jason's. They both semmed like pretty nice guys and were not at all like your average jocks. I had a class with both of them and had talked to them a little bit. The third guy with them was much shorter but was also wearing a varsity jacket. I think his name was Leo? I was pretty sure he wasn't on the Football team so I had no idea why he was wearing the jacket. He was hispanic with deeply tanned skin and curly brown hair.

I saw Piper and Hazel both blush when they saw the boys. The boys seemed to notice them too and sent them both smiles. Annabeth noticed this and smirked at them. She leaned over closer to me.

"We should invite them to sit with us." She wispered to me.

I smirked. "I think that would be a great idea." I whispered back. She smiled at me. I looked back at the other girls to see that they were still blushing.

"Hey Jason!" I called out.

"Hey man! How's it going?" He said back. Instantly taking notice of me. They came closer so that they stood in front of our table.

"Going alright." I smiled

"You guys have any lunch plans?" I asked.

Frank spoke up. "Nope we were just looking for a place to sit actually." Frank smiled at Hazel and she smiled back her cheeks truning a bit more red.

"Well we would love for you guys to join us if you want." Annabeth spoke up.

"Eating lunch with three beautiful girls, sign me up!" The smaller boy said. The girls all blushed. "I'm Leo by the way." He smirked and pointed to himself. 

The boys sat down. 

"Oh wait your the girls that put Drew in her place right?!" Leo Exclaimed.

"Yep that would be us." Piper said confidently.

"You guys were amazing!" Jason spoke up.

"You can say that again." I said with a smile while looking around at Annabeth and my new girl-friends.

"So Leo how come you wear a letterman jacket? I didn't think you were on the team." I questioned. 

"Oh I'm not, I'm the equipment manager so they decided to give me one too, since I'm practically a part of the team." 

"After he begged the coach for weeks." Frank said with a snort.

We all laughed.

Me and Annabeth were still sitting pretty close together.

Annabeth took a drink of water at the exact same time that Leo spoke up.

"So how long have you two been dating?" Leo asked pointing casually at me and Annabeth.

Annabeth started choking on her water. I blushed madly and put a hand on her back to make sure she was okay. She stopped coughing and directed her attention to Leo. She laughed nervously. Why was she nervous?

"We aren't dating. We've been best friends since we were 12." She stated a slight blush still attached to her face.

"Oh sorry, just seemed liked you guys were together." He apologized sincerely.

"No worries man" I told him.

For the rest of lunch we laughed and joked together and even made plans to all hang out after school once all of our athletic practices were over. Although, I couldn't get what Leo said out of my mind the rest of the day. It seemed like me and Annabeth were dating? I didn't know how to feel about it all yet.
