Percy's POV:

I felt ecstatic. Annabeth was coming home today! I could barely get myself to sleep last night because of my giddiness. Our friends still had no clue that Annabeth and I were kind of, sort of, together. Over the past two weeks that Annabeth had been gone, they had teased me plenty about her. Leo would say something like "So you miss your girl huh?" with a great big smirk on his face to which I would smack him upside the head keeping him quiet for a little while before he brought it up again.

Jason and Piper still weren't together yet and neither were Hazel and Frank and Calypso and Leo. I honestly couldn't believe that they all had the audacity(Annabeth taught that one to me) to tease me when they were such hypocrites themselves.

Today we had plans to all hang out together at Piper's house. Annabeth's flight wasn't supposed to get in until 6, so I had plenty of time before I needed to go to the airport with my mom to pick up her and her parents. I was lucky to have our friends otherwise I think I might have actually gone insane being away from Annabeth for so long.

We tended to go to Piper's house when we all wanted to meet up somewhere to hang that was more casual. Piper had a big house, like really big! Her dad, Tristan Mc'Clean was a movie star and so they had a lot of money, although Piper never acted like it and she always seemed like it made her uncomfortable. We all loved her for it. Her house had an indoor pool, gaming and theatre room, a huge kitchen packed with food, and so many other rooms that I could never remember. Of course, we all loved going to her house! We were teenagers after all and she always had the house to herself because of her dad's work schedule.

Annabeth and I had planned to tell our friends about us tonight, but we never discussed how we would go about doing that. I guess that'll be a discussion for later.

Annabeth's POV

I felt like I was going crazy on this plane! I couldn't wait to get off of it and see Percy. It was only 12 and I still had to be on here for another 6 hours. My flight had left sooner than expected. Sally Percy planned to meet us at 6 at the airport, but now we were on track to get to the airport in New York by 5. I begged my parents to let me go surprise Percy at Piper's house. Percy had told me yesterday that the group had planned to hang out there today. I was absolutely ecstatic at the thought of getting to see Percy! My heart kept fluttering when I thought of seeing him and I felt like I was gonna burst.

I wasn't sitting next to my parents on the plane ride back. Instead, I was next to an older woman who looked a lot like Betty White. I was reading a book, emersed in its portal out of my reality when the women spoke up and pulled my back to reality.

"Excuse me dear, but do you know how to work these tiny TVs?" She asked hopeful as she pointed to the screen in front of her.

I smiled and set my bookmark in my book and set it down.

"Yes, of course" I said.

"Great! Can you pull up the movie selection majigger for me?" She asked hopefully, her eyes twinkling on her beautifully wrinkled face. I suddenly felt Golden Girls Nostalgia run through me.

"I'd be happy to." I said with a bright grin.

She smiled back. I leaned over and turned on her screen and brought up the selection of movies for her before leaning back into my seat.

"Any suggestions on movies?" She asked turning to look at me.

"I've only watched one movie on the list, but it was an alright movie I guess." I shrugged.

"Which movie?" She asked curiously.

"Oh it was "My Best Friends Wedding" with Julia Roberts." I clarified.
