I Think I Always Knew That I loved Her......

Time Skip/Last Day of Freshmen Year ~ Chapter 8

Percy's POV

It had been about 5 months since mine and Annabeth's kiss under the mistletoe. We never mentioned it again after that day. Everything went back to normal between us. Well almost normal. I could never seem to get the kiss out of my mind. It was so quick. But I loved it! I couldn't even remember my name for a second after it happened. But Annabeth never brought it up so I guess she didn't feel anything.

It was getting more and more increasingly obvious that Jason and Piper liked each other and so did Hazel and Frank. We teased them about it all the time but they have never talked to each other about it. Leo even seemed to get a crush on this girl named Calypso that was in gardening club and a cheer leader.

I couldn't stop smiling. Summer starts tomorrow! I was so excited. I would get to sleep in everyday, go to the beach, and hang out with Annabeth and our friends more. I didn't think I could get any happier. "Well maybe" I thought.

Our last class of the day had just ended and we all decided to hang out at the football field for a bit. Leo invited Calypso to come with too and she said yes, which he seemed so excited and happy about. I was happy for the little guy.

We grabbed a football and headed out to the field. The girls headed to the bleachers and sat down. Us guys passed the ball around for awhile before we got bored. I immediately thought of a great idea to get rid of our boredom. I signaled the boys to come towards me. Once they were all next to me I ushered us into a huddle like how they do at football games to go over which plays their gonna do. I glanced over at the girls to find them laughing and smiling. I couldn't help but stare a bit longer at Annabeth. She looked absolutely stunning when she smiled. "Right, right " I told myself, "back to the matter at hand" I thought.

I looked back at the boys.

"Alright guys I have plan." I say with a grin.

"What kind of plan?" Frank questioned.

"A fun one." I say with a mischievous grin.

Leo smiles. "I like where this is going." He says.

"Alright so what's the plan then Percy?" Jason asked.

"We go grab the girls and make them play football with us."

"Sounds simple enough." Leo says 

"Okay wait it gets better." I say quickly. I grin wider.

"Leo go get some bottled water and a stereo." I ordered.

Leo breaks from the huddle and walks away mumbling, "Once the water boy, always the water boy."

I laughed at him and told the guys the rest of the plan. They were a bit nervous but they thought it could be fun. We retold the plan to Leo when he got back. The grin on his face could not have gotten any wider and more mischievous.

Annabeth's POV

It was a good day. It was the last day of our Freshmen year! I was so excited for summer. Percy and I and our friends could hang out more and we would have no homework! It's been about five months now since I kissed Percy at Christmas and things have been good considering. We never talked about it at all, but things weren't awkward between us, which was nice. I still couldn't stop thinking about it though. I certainly had liked it a lot more than I had thought that I would

We were all hanging out at the football field together. Leo had asked Calypso to come along so us girls sat together on the bleachers and got to know her a bit more. 

"So do you like Leo?" Hazel asked Calypso with a smirk.

"I mean, I don't know. He's nice and really funny, but I just don't know yet." She told us honestly with a sigh.
