Chapter 4

Y/n's pov: i woke up the next morning by myself, Theo fell asleep in my bed but i guess she left later on that night. I yawned and looked over at the wall the wallpaper made me smile it was so calming i flipped over and laid down on my back staring at the smooth ceiling and the pretty chandelier dangling, as i counted all the candles on the chandelier my father bursted into my room and started yelling at the top of his lungs like a lunatic

"I'm running for president babyyyy!" He laughed and shook my bed "Guess who's running for president sweet pea!"

I looked at him smiling "Great dad i hope you win"..i was honestly so tired from last night my reaction was so late.

"Get up get up we have alot to do today!" He pulled me up out of bed and dragged me down the stairs. I groaned as he dragged me down the stairs like i was a rag doll he played with my hair and skipped his way over to the dining room table. I looked over at our maid Sally cooking in the kitchen she smiled at me "Would you like fruit with your waffles miss Jefferson?"

"Uhm sure just no pineapples and also you can call me Y/n you dont have to keep calling me Miss Jefferson thats my mom" i smiled taking a seat at the table

"Right, well breakfast should be done any minute" Sally turned back to stove getting back to work on breakfast

I sat across from my father as he flipped through a news paper his name on almost every page, he smiled at the sight of his name plastered on the front of the paper he was honestly so full of himself.

As i watched my father Sally came with our breakfast setting it down on the table and taking the newspaper from my dad "Enjoy your breakfast" she smiled and walked up the stairs to clean.

"Can you believe it Honey bee i might run the United States of America and you'll be right by me and when I'm done being president I'll pass it all down to you i know you'll blow us all away" he smiled and forked a big piece of fruit into his mouth

"I'm excited dad I've always wondered what it would be like to be the president's daughter i just wish mom was here to be by our side too"

"Me too sweetheart but shes up there in the clouds watching us everyday "

I nodded and we finished up breakfast. After breakfast Sally helped me change into one of my new dresses, i decided to go with the blue one and i chose a blue lapis lazuli pendant to go with it. Sally did my hair and some light makeup before she sent me on my way with my father. My father wore his same maroon pinkish suit like he always did he said it brought him good luck.

We got into a carriage and made our way to New York. I didn't know why we were going there but my dad said it was for his presidential candidacy and here it started our schedules would be filled up and we would barely be home again i knew it.

We got to New York and we walked into city hall where George Washington, Alexander Hamilton and some short fat man who i didnt know. James Madison and Burr were there too but i didnt see Theo, Henry, or Philip anywhere. I walked with my father and he stood behind a pedestal, the short fat man stood behind the other and i shortly found out his name was John Adams. I sat down behind my father as he started talking about why America should vote for him, i couldnt lie my father would make a great president he always knew what he wanted and he was great at getting what he wanted. My father was a fighter and after my mom passed it made him ten times stronger.

John started talking about why he should be president and John seemed like a good president too but i felt like my dad was just better. George called a short recess so i left and went looking for Theo or at least someone my age that i knew, i left the hallway and bumped into Henry gosh he had gotten so tall i hadnt seen him for a while he was down in Mississippi while i was here and in France and stuff.

"Y/n? Wow you look beautiful how have you been?" He gave me a hug and placed a hand on my shoulder

"Oh I've been great, you've gotten so tall its crazy your like a tree" i laughed and put my hand on top of his. His smile was contagious and i missed it so much, he grabbed my hand and started walking the other way. Me and him didn't like eachother like that but we flirted like crazy it was just a little friend thing but i only really saw him as like a close friend possibly brother.

I soon saw Theo around the corner and called her name "Theo look who it is" she looked over and made her way to us "Oh my gosh! Henry your so tall!"

"I know right!" I punched Henry on the shoulder. We were all having a little friend moment then i saw Philip, Me, Henry and Theo glared from the other side of the room. Philip walked up to us and looked down at his feet "Uh...hey guys" he looked up at us started fidgeting with his coat.

"What do you want Philip?" Henry was ready to pop off but i held him back "Philip what do you need...because you know why we dont talk anymore" i looked him up and down and took a step closer to him

"I..i just wanted to apologize for everything i know i messed up, i wrote you 5 letters but you never returned them Y/n. I know i messed up but i miss you so much"

I furrowed my brows ready to stab this boy in his stomach "Philip i didnt answer any of your letters because i didnt want to talk to you...i couldnt face you and you have balls to come up to me and apologize like your actually sorry the way i see it is once you cheat you'll do it again and i dont think your ready to change"

"Please just take me back Y/n i still love you so much" he grabbed my hand pulling me closer to him

I teared up as i looked at his face, he was as hurt as i was but i couldn't forgive him yet i wasnt ready. I pulled my hand away from him and turned my back i was ready to walk the other way, i turned back around to look at him with a small tear rolling down my face "I hope that you burn."

I walked off as he called my name. I didnt want to hear it i wasnt going to fall for his schemes like i had before, he hurt me to much i couldnt face him.

"Are you alright Y/n?" Theo asked me clearly concerned with Henry standing by her side concerned too.
"I'll be fine i just hope Philip learns his lesson because im not taking him back any time soon i have to erase myself from the narrative "

I looked over at Philip, he was still watching me as i wiped the tears from my face. His face was red too i could see the glisten of the sun reflecting off of his tears , i wanted to just kiss him just let everything go and be with him again but it wasnt time i wasnt ready i needed to stay away from him. I looked away from him and up at Henry "We're here for you..." he whispered and gave me a hug. "Thanks guys" i whispered and looked over at the spot Philip was standing, he wasnt there anymore and i broke down even more. I hated Philip but i still loved him.....
