Prologue

"Marithe, 10 minutes na lang magstastart na tayo." rinig kong sambit ng Manager namin habang inaayusan ako. I turned around to face our manager and nodded as a response.

"Wait... teka nasaan si Nahliel?" she roamed around as she searched for Nahliel, my love team partner.

"Umalis na naman siya? Malapit na tayo magsimula!" I blinked when I heard her voice raised in anger.

"Hahanapin ko lang po siy---"

"Ako na po ang maghahanap. We'll be back immediately." hindi ko na pinatapos magsalita ang stylist namin at agad akong lumabas para hanapin si Nahliel.

I already know where Nahliel headed to, kasi ako lang naman ang sinasabihan niya kung aalis siya para makipagkita sa girlfriend niya. I just pretended not to know when I'm in front of our manager para takpan si Nahliel. It's been 3 years already when our showbiz contract started and hindi naman namin na predict na maging mabenta kami sa madla kaya our manager decided na ipagpatuloy namin ito kahit labag sa kalooban ko for some reason.

Well, at first hindi naman kami ganito but our situation changed when he met that girl.

Ilang beses na sinubukan ng aming manager na paghiwalayin sila ng girlfriend ni Nahliel para makaiwas sa issue but I guess he was one of the stubborn. Well ganoon naman talaga ang pag-ibig, if we really love someone kahit anong hirap pa ang mga pagsubok na kinakaharap natin, we are willing to sacrifice everything for that person.

And for my case, I am willing to give everything to him kahit ikakasira ko pa. His happiness is my happiness, kontento na ako dun.

I kept on walking until I got to the storage room near the backstage. Gaya nga ng sinabi niya sa akin kanina. I saw him talking with his girlfriend. They look so happy with each other which made me closed my eyes and felt the pain in my chest.

"Oh... nandyan na pala si Marithe." I opened my eyes as my lips turned to a slight smile when I heard the voice of Sarah, Nahliel's girlfriend.

I heavily sigh as I walked towards them at nagkukunwaring hinihingal sa kakahanap kay Nahliel.

"I've been looking all over for you. Hinahanap ka na ni Manager Addy." I said and slightly laugh, pretending to wipe my imaginary sweat in my forehead.

Phew, I just realized that I'm being a good petender when I'm around with them. I bit my lip and smiled at them again.

"Uh.." Sarah awkwardly stares at me before she turned her gaze to Nahliel. "You should go now babe." she smiled as she simply tapped Nahliel's arms and left.

Sumulyap ako kay Nahliel habang sinusundan ng tingin si Sarah, I sighed.

"Let's g--"

"I can walk on my own."

I was about to grab his hand but he hurriedly walked away. I breathed multiple times before I followed him. Nang makarating kami sa tapat ng room, agad kaming nilapitan ng manager namin kasama ang aming mga personal assistants.
