When I wake the next morning, I am initially confused. How did I end up in someone else's bed?

The arms wrapped around me feel familiar, so I roll over to find the most beautiful pair of blue/grey eyes staring at me.

"Good morning, Tobias," Tris says with a smile on her face. "Did you sleep well?"

Instead of answering, I move my head so that my lips capture hers. I can't believe that I'm finally in Dauntless, and that the girl I love still has feelings for me.

She responds to the kiss, and I realize just how little she wore to bed. Dammit, why do I have to realize that?

Tris laughs as she notices my situation. "You can use the bathroom first."

Once she directs me to which door it is, I climb out of bed and slip into the room I was directed to. When I come out, she's fully dressed and carrying Orion out of his room.

So it wasn't a dream, I think to myself as she places him in a tall chair with straps, and hands him half of a banana.

"Can you just sit with him while I run to the bathroom?" she asks me.

I wonder why it's even a question. "Of course."

As the door to the bathroom closes, Orion begins to look around as if he's trying to find Tris.

"Mama?" the boy asks.

"Mama's in the bathroom," I tell him walking around his chair so that he can see me. I don't really know what to do from there. I'm not exactly experienced with children.

I watch as he eats the banana wondering if I should be saying something or possibly giving him something.

"He's not going to explode," Tris says with laughter in her voice.

She walks over to the fridge and procures a lidded cup that she places on the table out of Orion's reach.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do," I confess. "I don't have any experience with children."

She laughs this time. "I didn't really either. The youngest child I babysat was five years old before I transferred. If it wasn't for Shauna remembering when her brother was born and Hana's invaluable advice, I wouldn't have had the slightest idea of what to do. I didn't even know how to change a diaper."

Her admission gives me some sort of hope.

"So what should I be doing right now?"

"Right now, he just needs to get used to your presence," she says patiently. "We have to keep reminding him who you are so that he'll be able to recognize you and know how to ask for you."

It sounds too easy to be true. "That's it?"

"Pretty much until initiation is over. You probably won't get to see him much, so Shauna and I will still be doing most of the work. After initiation, you'll just learn as you go. He's a fairly easygoing baby when he isn't teething."

The door opening interrupts our conversation, and Tris takes the time to give our son the cup now that his banana is gone.

Shauna takes over with Orion shooing us off to breakfast. Since it's so early, the room is basically empty with just some muffins sitting out on the tables for people to eat.

We eat as we walk to the training room, and when we arrive, Tris goes straight to work with running laps around the room. I follow along unsure if I'll even be able to keep up with her pace.

After five laps around the training room, she begins to show me some stretches and how to do a couple exercises called push-ups and crunches.

"Ready to practice what we'll be training on today?" she asks me.
