10:30 am

I found myself staring at the big black door of THE GREAT MR. MELLARK'S cabin.

With thousands of thoughts whirling around my mind - knowing I'm gonna  face  the most aloof monster ever- I turned the knob of the door as a gasp escaped my lips.

Click!

I saw a black figure standing with his back facing towards me.

I gulped.

As I stepped into the office Mr. Mellark turned, his eyes glowing with anger.

He banged the table with his fist clenched tight, making the glass of water fall which drenched all the papers kept on the table.

"What are you here for?" He yelled "To burn my name down into ashes? The daughter of Mr. Mellark falling into the arms of a damn employ!"

I flushed red with embarrassment I could feel the blood rush in my cheeks.

I suddenly remembered he has no right on me to yell he is nothing to me!

I shrugged.

"Daughter. Huh?" I shot back "why not? The perfect man finally remembers he has a family after thirteen damn years!"

I could feel my tears coming up, somehow controlling them, I uttered " Where was this Great father when we needed u the most! When mom needed u the most! And now here u stand making me count the responsibilities of the noble label u keep!"

My tears were finally rolling down no matter how much I tried to control them they were inevitable, the fury, the anger, the pain, the misery and everything I was keeping in since all these years.

"I'm not your daughter!" I yelled "The only connection between you and me, your wife and my mother, has died. U are nothing but a culprit to me." His face flushed with guilt at the words "The culprit of our happiness! You're a selfish monster!"

I could feel his muscles relax at this and sense something fishy in the atmosphere.

I ignored the intuitions, turned around, banging the door on his face!

I found Stefan leaning against the wall, his hands in his pockets, the muscles of his forehead tensed.
I found myself staring at him with dreamy eyes.
He saw me and began walking towards me and  I couldn't help but get awkward.

He broke the silence by asking me" was it bad?"
"Wh-What was?" I asked fumbling  over the words.

"Mr.Mellark" he glared at me with his eyes curious " was it too bad with Mr.mellark?"

"Umm...no it was n-nothing. Lows n highs are always there."I answered, short of words.
"Oh"
" Was I audible outside the cabin? Was it too loud?" I wanted to make sure that he didn't know about my relations with Mr. Mellark.

He shrugged "umm... not really...just the pound banging of the door... I must say that was heroic... it takes a lot of courage... ahh! Danger alert!  I won't take chances with you" he laughed

I giggled.

The dimples on the corner of his eyes his smile lit up his face,  it was all so beautiful, the sweet flowery smell in the air.

For years I'd drawn my own ongoing graphic story-- the tale of a king' s son who was under a curse that meant that everyone he loved would die. I'd put everything she had into dreaming up her dark, romantic, shadowy prince, and here he was, standing in front of her-- the same pale skin, the same tumbling hair, and eyes so blue. The same high cheekbones and deep-set, shadowed eyes fringed with long lashes.

"You're awfully quiet" Stefan said.

"Just wondering how much trouble I will be in when I don't get this job. Banging the door on Mr. Mellark isn't really an accomplishment to be added in ur CV. Right?"

Stefan frowned "That's bad news"

"Do u like him?" I asked, the words were out do my mouth even before I realised.

He shrugged "He is my boss- it's not really about wether I like him or not."

I nodded

"I wanted to ask u something" Stefan asked  her his eyes full with curiosity  "Are you and Mr.  Mellark somehow related? After all you both have the same surname and the their are rumours going around about--"
He cut short "That's my personal life, Stefan. And no offense, but you are a stranger."

"I'd like not to be" he said. "I'd like to get to know you better." He was looking at her with a mixture of amusement and a certain shyness, as if he wasn't sure how what he'd said would be received.

"Stefan" I said, with a quite feeling if overwhelming tiredness. "I'm glad u want to get to know me. But I just don't have the energy to get to know you. Sorry."

"I didn't mean--"he began and then paused and said " Here, the interview board is ready and waiting for you"

Another big black door.

Another feeling of anxiety, nervousness and a strange feeling of  despair from myself.

"Good luck" Stefan said , his voice seemed to come from somewhere distant.

It was all so sudden that I began to waft in my thoughts and before I could come back to reality, a hood was tugged down over my head, blinding me.

I struggled as strong hand clamped themselves around each of my arms.

I kicked out in darkness, my foot connected, and I heard someone swear.

I was jerked backward viciously, a hot voice snarled in my ear. "Do that again, damsel, u will be in hell" it surely wasn't of Stefan.

I yelled aloud, but my cries were muffled by the hood.
Soon, I was out of my senses
