"AGAIN!"
I began to hyperventilate and was quickly moved to a bench to sit down. Fives hand went on my back as he tried his best to be some sort of comfort.
"I need your help." He says once again
I looked at him and took in a breath, hoping he would understand.
"I can't." I slightly whispered
His hand immediately left my back and he straightened his back with an angry expression painted on his face.
"Y/n, did you not hear what I said?" He asked me with an annoyed tone
"I heard you, and I told you. I can't." I begun
"I have work, I have customers, I have a debt to pay off, I have to protect Mel." I began to list everything I needed to do
"Do you know how much danger she is in just because she's a different race then them?" I rhetorically asked
Five wasn't looking at me anymore, he was just looking at the floor with anger in his eyes.
"Five, I'm sorry. I'm really sorr-" just as I reached my hand out to touch his shoulder, his hand gripped my wrist firmly.
He finally met my eyes, mouth was in a permanent frown, and his eyes were stabbing me with daggers. I ripped my wrist back and stood up.
"I have to get back to work now." I tell him with slight venom in my voice before turning away and walking back to the store.
When I walked into the door my eyes began to water a bit. Mel went over to my and saw my expression and immediately knew something happened.
"What's wrong girlie? She asked me, stroking some hair behind my ear
I hugged her tightly and cried into her shirt, wetting it with my tears.
"Don't worry, everything will be okay." She whispered to me, stroking the top of my head.
"Mel, it's time I tell you something." I told her through my sniffs
She nodded and put a closed sign on the door. Her short dark curls were bouncing as she walked, and her light purple hourglass dress swayed with her every step. She sat down beside me put her hand on mine to give me some reassurance.
"What is it girlie?" She asked me with a gentle voice
"I'm not normal Melly, I'm- I'm not from this time." I began, using the nickname that I only use when I'm scared
"I'm from the year 2019, I was apart of an academy with 7 other children. We were born the year 1989, just what wasn't normal was the fact that none of the women were pregnant when the day started. We all had some type of powers.
Luther was super strong
Diego could manipulate anything he threw, usually knives
Allison could make anyone do anything she wanted by saying 'I heard a rumour.'
Klaus could talk to the dead
Five could spatial jump
Ben could make tentacles appear from his stomach
Then Vanya was normal, which is what we thought, I still don't know what her power was but it was strong.
Then I'm able to turn invisible." I tell her, my hands began to shake
Before she could respond I continued
"Five time travelled to the year 2019 and found that the world had ended, 17 years later for us he appeared again and tried to stop the apocalypse, but it didn't work so he time travelled all of us and next thing you know, I was in an alley way (I almost spelt it like my sisters name) on January 3rd of 1963."  I finished, I looked at her and saw her trying to process everything.
She began to laugh, obviously not believing me.
"I knew you weren't normal but that was a funny joke." She told me, leaning back in her chair laughing harder
I sighed and turned on my invisibility. Her laugh turned into a gasp as she fell back in her chair, hitting the floor roughly.
"Mel are you okay!?" I hurried over to her turning my invisibility off
She looked at me with a shocked expression.
"You weren't lying." She said with wide eyes and a confused tone
"I wish I was." I replied helping her stand back up
"If you're from the future can you tell me, do people who are different get accepted?" She asked me holding my hands
"Yes." I replied smiling
Her expression changed to and excited one as she hugged my tightly and kissed my forehead.
"Why are you telling me this all right now?" She asked me pulling away and holding onto my shoulders.
I took in a breath and looked her in the eyes.
"The world is ending again. Five told me that before I came back into the shop." I explained to her sadly
"Is that the boy who you were talking to in the streets?" She asked me looking out the window into the streets. Before I could reply she let go of me and cracked her knuckles
"I'm gonna beat his short little ass."
I looked at her with a questioning look and blocked the door
"Wait, why?" I asked her frantically
"I saw that boy grab your wrist. Look at it, no man should do that to a woman." She replied showing me the slight bruise that started to form onto the place where his hand was.
"It's fine, I've been through worse. Don't worry he's a good person, he just can't be provoked when he's angry." I explained not moving from the door
"But no one should hurt my little girl." She said quickly
She realized what she said and took a breath to calm down.
"Let's have some supper, nothing like some good food to keep the mind at bay." She chuckled taking my hand gently and leading me up the stairs.
Little girl huh
