Part Thirteen

Allison, Klaus, Vanya, and I sat in Allison's salon and listened in to the radio and drinking.
"The nerve of that man, I man, one thing goes wrong, and he's on a warpath. I mean, doesn't know who I am? No, no. No, Ray, you know exactly who I am. You just can't handle it. I'm protecting him." Allison complained as she grabbed more booze
"From what?" Klaus asked
"The end of the world, for one." Allison counted
"Is the world really gonna end in six days?" Vanya asked
Allison went quiet and continued on with Klaus' hair
"Well, it did last time, and we did everything Five could think of to stop it." Allison told her
"Hey, wouldn't it be weird if Five grew up all hot? Wouldn't that be weird?" Klaus asked as took his feet off the counter, with a cigarette in his mouth
Allison and Vanya showed disgust while I just sat doing Vanyas hair not wanting to say anything about that question.
"Oh. Ew, ew. Please, Miss "Luther was my lover." Klaus teased as he made kissing noises
"We have never even kissed." Allison said defensively
"Yeah, but you guys were making little sick moon-dog was eyes at each other all through puberty and breakfasts and all that." Klaus says before taking another drink
"Aren't we all brothers and sisters? Or?" Vanya asked as she turned to face Allison
"Well...technically it-" Allison got cut off by Klaus once again
"Technically"? If you have to use the word 'technically,'  you're already in trouble." Klaus says as he, V, and I giggle
"What about Five and Y/N? They're together." Allison pointed out
I scratched the back of my neck and looked to the floor.
"But me and him don't consider each other siblings. We just consider each other people who lived in the same house." I said
"And-and besides, it's rocky now. I mean he stranded me in the 60's for a year, shows up out of the blue, and tells me to stop the apocalypse again." I began to laugh as I stole Klaus's flask and drank out of it.
"Okay, can... can we focus? I mean clearly we're not saving the world tonight, but maybe, maybe we could at least try to save my marriage." Allison begged
"No! No, because that's like... that's like asking a nun how to jump someone's leg. I mean who in this room knows shit about relationships? This one? Is secretly in love with some farm Frau." Klaus begins
"Her name is Sissy." Vanya tells him
"Which is an improvement on her previous love interest, the serial killer."
I grabbed the bottle and leaned back in the chair so I could watch as Klaus spoke the truth.
"Y/N, over there is in love with a small, rage induced psychopath."
"Hey." I complained
"Meanwhile, I'm carrying a torch...for a soldier I haven't technically met yet, and Luther is in love with his sister." Klaus finished
"Okay, again, we are not biological." Allison said
"Face it, the healthiest long-term relationship in this family was when Five was banging that mannequin." Klaus said
I choked on my alcohol and kept coughing.
"The only thing the Umbrella Academy knows about love... is how to screw it up. " Klaus says as he raised his flask
Allison and I raised out bottles up as well.
"How do you guys deal with this?" Vanya asked
"What?"
"I mean, all of it. The time travel, seeing the dead, the end of the world." Vanya sled
"Well' I get really high. Allison... Allison... lies to herself." Klaus started
Allison angrily kicked a stool at him
"Y/N gets mood swings of depending on someone then not depending on someone. And you suppress all your emotions deep, deep down until you... you blow shit up." Klaus finished
I hit his arm when he called me dependant.
"Yeah, I'd really like to not do that anymore." Vanya said softly
"Well, you got six days, missy." Klaus tells her
"What the hell are we supposed to do with six days?" Allison asked
"Party? I don't know." Klaus answered
"I'm gonna tell Sissy that I love her." Vanya said
"Yessss Vanya." I said as I did a little dance with my arms
"I don't want any secrets." Vanya says
"Yeah."
"Yeah."
"Yeah. Yeah, yeah, you're right. Yes, cause, you know, if... if it's all gonna go tits-up, the least I can do is be honest with my husband." Allison agreed
"Oh... does that mean I have to face my cult? I just hate group breakups.  It's why I stopped dating twins." Klaus said sadly
"Wait, wait, does this mean I might have to tell Five that he's growing on me again?" I asked as I hold my hand out each time I say wait.
"This family's amazing." Vanya says
Klaus cackled and got up from his chair.
"No." I say as I drag out my 'o'
"Okay, let's not get ahead of ourselves." Allison says
Klaus, Allison and I stood in a group hug and made a spot for Vanya.
"Come here, Vanya."
"Come on."
"Get over here."
Vanya got up and jumped into a hug making us laugh
"I love you guys." Klaus says
"I love you guys too." I tell them
An upbeat song started to play on the radio.
"Oh! You guys! I love this song." Allison says as she leaves the hug to turn it up.
We all began dancing like it was our last day on earth. No pun intended. We swung our arms around and made a little dance line, and we spun in a huge circle. We even dance as we sat under the dryers. We danced till the song was sadly over.
"Hey Allison, do you know a woman named Melody?" I asked her
"Yeah, she's in my group. Why?" Allison confirmed
"Uh- no reason really. Just, I've been living with her for about a year now." I tell her
Allison chuckled at the fact that we were so close to seeing each other again yet so far.
"Wait wait, what's her name again?" Klaus asked
"Melody Harris." I told him
"It's that the woman who was supposed to die due to a drunk?" Klaus asked with a slight slur in his voice
"I don't think so." I tell him
"Short hair, golden locket with a ruby on it, dark skin?" Klaus asked me
I stood there for a moment in shock at what I just found out, but how do I know it's not another Melody.
"There's no way that's her." Say as I hide my pain
I sighed and got up so I could try to stand in the middle of the room.
"Besides I think it's time we all get to our houses and... and... tell the truth." I say while I used my hands as quotation marks

I made my way inside and checked to see if Melody was sleeping. Short hair, dark skin, and of course the golden locket she's never taken off.
I made my way to my room and laid in my bed.
"That's how I messed time up." I said to myself

I woke up pretty early and made breakfast, in the mail there was a note

I sighed and continued on, the flower shop ran quickly as usual while Mel rested. She's had a long couple days. I kept staring at the letter and sometimes got distracted, at my lunch break I decided to wake Mel up, I used her method and dumped water on her. She shot up and laughed.
"Y/N, what're you doing? Don't you have a world to save?" She asked
"I have a shop to run. And you have been sleeping in too late." I tell her as I poured the rest of the cup on her
"So Melody. That group you go to, my sisters in it." I tell her
She looks at me confused as hell with a tired eyebrow raised.
"Allison." I said
She made a little 'oh' then shrugged and got up to get dressed.
"She's a nice girl, her husband is in the group too. Power couple." She told me
"Now, how was that gala?" She asked me while she sits down at the table to eat.
"Good, I danced, we got ignored by my dad, met my old mom, fought some guys. It was successful." I tell her as I take a bite of my food
She looked at me with wide eyes, I could tell she was about to ask so I signalled for her not to ask anything. She pulled out two glasses and put it in front of both of us.
"Scotch?"
I smiled at her and nodded excitedly, she chuckled and poured my glass. She sat down and tried to think of a toast.

"To the end of the world?" I suggest
She shrugged and smiled
