Chapter Twelve

I walked into the kitchen as the morning sun blinded my eyes. I picked up a note that was left on the counter, it was there with some breakfast.

I laughed and ate breakfast then got ready for the day, I wore some plants and a tucked button shirt. I missed wearing pants. I made my way to Elliots and saw Diego, Elliot, Vanya, and Luther sitting in the living room.
"Hey guys." I greeted
Luther looked at me and smiled then walked up to me and lifted me up into a hug.
"Hi, Y/N." he greeted
I laughed and got set back down.
"So, where's Five?" I asked as I sat down
"He's getting everyone to come here." Diego answers as he watched Vanya and swung a knife around in his hand.
"Diego, put the knife down, you idiot. She's fine." Luther tells him
"The last time I saw this one, she had me suspended midair, sucking the life out of me with energy tentacles. I think I'm allowed a little time to process." Diego told him
I sighed and sat down beside V and looked down at the disgusting looking thing that Elliot made.
"Oh, I would love to see and energy tentacle." Elliot said
"I don't remember what I did, but I'm sorry...if...if that means anything." Vanya apologized
Diego stopped swinging the knife and put in down quietly.
"It does. Just going through a lot right now. There's this..." Diego stopped before continuing
"Girl that I like. I thought she liked me, but turns out that she's..." he got interrupted by the door opening and laughing.
We walked up to the rail and saw Five, Allison, and Klaus.
"I know this is impossible, but... did we all get sexier?" Klaus asked
I chuckled and teared up, I ran down the stairs and ran up to Klaus and hugged him.
"Wow, Y/N? You look so-so-"
"Klaus." I said
"Yeah?"
"Please don't ruin the moment." I tell him
He laughed and hugged me back tightly, he smelt of alcohol but happily not of drugs.
I let go and let Diego have his turn in seeing his brother again
"I can't believe I have another sister." Vanya said happily as she made her way downstairs to Allison.
"I missed you." Allison said
"Thank God someone did." Vanya says smiling
She gave Allison a hug and
"Oh, that's so sweet." Klaus said as he say Vanya and Allison hugging
He joined in and beckoned me to join too. I did and we crushed Vanya under us by accident.
"Hi." Vanya said slightly muffled by everyone
"He, Vanny." Klaus greeted.
I gave Allison a hug and started to laugh.
"Hey sis." Allison greeted
"Klaus, is Ben here?" Five asked
"No, unfortunately, ghosts can't time travel." Klaus answered
I didn't believe his since he looked off to the side.
"All right, then. Let's get down to business." Five said as he made his way upstairs
Klaus accidentally pinned me under his arm and brought me with his as he caught up with Vanya.
We all sat down and Five stood up.
"Okay, first off I wanted to say that I'm sorry. I know I really screwed the pooch on this whole going-back-in-time-and-getting-stuck thing. But the real kick in the pants here is we brought the end of the world back here with us." Five apologized then explained
"Oh my god again?" Klaus asked
"All of you knew? Why am I always the last one to find out about the end of the- oh my god. My cult is gonna be so pissed. Five! I told them we had until 2019." Klaus complained
I looked at him in shock... he runs a bloody cult- you know I'm not even surprised
"We have until Monday. We have six days." Five tells him
"Is it Vanya?" Klaus asked taking a drink from his cup
"Klaus." Allison and I said
"What? It's usually Vanya."
"Do you have any leads, Five?" Vanya asked him
"Yeah, we have one." He answers as he hands Allison a folder
"Holy sir, is that Dad?" Allison asked
"Yeah."
"That's him?" Vanya questioned
"And he's standing on the grassy knoll." Diego said again
"Diego!" I whisper warned him
"Diego and I have been trying to talk to Dad about what exactly this means. So far we got nothing." Five said
"Not nothing. We know he's planning to kill Kennedy." Diego tells them
"Maybe. But we don't know who or what sets doomsday in motion. Could be Kennedy, could be something entirely independent. But we know something changes the timeline, we have to make it right." Five explained
"Yeah, but how, if we don't know what's broken?" Allison asked
"Come on. Do the math. We know Dad's having shady-Ass meetings with some shady-ass people. We know he's on the grassy knoll in three days to kill the president. So I think we all know what we have to do." Diego said then paused before finishing
"Find Dad."
"Kill Dad."
"Yeah, I'd rather find him." I said out of the blue
"None of us are supposed to be here, right? I mean, what if it's us? Has anyone here done anything to screw up the timeline?" Vanya asked
"Diego's been stalking Lee Harvey Oswald." Luther said
"And you're working for Jack Ruby."
"Allison has been very involved in local politics." Klaus said
"Okay, you started a cult." Allison shot back.
"I'm... I'm just a... a nanny on a farm. I don't have anything to do with all that." Vanya told us
"Yeah, and I'm just a florist." I said as I rose my hand
"Well, maybe you do, we just don't know it yet." Allison suggested
Diego whistled which caught all of our attention.
"Listen to yourselves. Everything in our new lives is connected to Kennedy. That can't be a coincidence. Luther worlds for Ruby, Allison is protesting the government, Dad is on the grassy knoll, Klaus is... doing something weird and Percy but probably related. See, clearly, we were all sent back here for one special reason. Saving John Fitzgerald Kennedy." Diego said
"Should I get you a mask and a black cape or something, we were sent here by mistake. Not to save the life of someone who's as supposed to die." I shot back at Diego as I rubbed my temples
Everyone started to argue and argue.
"Guys, you all die." Five told us all
"I was there, I saw it. I wanna forget it but I can't." Five said the last part quietly
We all looked at him in shock and were speechless.
"I saw Russian nukes vaporize the world will all of you in it... in a war that never happened until we brought it here. And Hazel gave his life to save us, so you may need to shut up and just listen to me." Five had more emotion behind his words then he normally has and it made me want to comfort him
"I don't know know if the things we've experienced here are all connected. I don't know if there's a reason for everything. But Dad will. We need to talk to him before everyone and everything we know is dead." Five tells us
"Okay, I'm out." Luther said as he got up
"Did you even hear me, Luther?" Five asked
"Yeah. Yeah I did. I heard a 58-year-old man who still wants his daddy to come and fix everything. Well you can count me out. It's time we all grew the hell up." Luther began to walk away despite everyone protests.
I got up and tried my best to catch him.
"Do you have a better plan Luther?" I asked him
He didn't respond, he only went down the stairs. Five jumped in front of him and cut him off at the top of the stairs.
"No one leaves until we figure this out." Five told him.
He picked up Five and threw him over the ledge. I ran up to the rails and saw that Five jumped instead of landing.
"Luther, what the hell!?" I yelled at him
Luther just walked out with Diego following behind.
I sat back down and took deep breaths.
"You know, I could really go for some tacos right now. Allison? Tacos?" Klaus asked
"Shouldn't we wait?" Allison asked him as she pointed to the door
"You know those guys. I mean it could take forever for my to bro it out. Vanya, tacos?" He asked as he turned to V
"Is there any way that tacos are gonna cause the end of the world?" Vanya asked us
"I mean there's only one way to find out, right." Klaus said
They agreed and I just sat there, not knowing if I was invited or not.
"Come on." Klaus said as he grabbed my hand and brought me along.
