John's POV
I was thrown into my cell, I was really confused and scared.

                          
I then heard a guard giggle as he peeked through the my door.

                          
"Mr. Jefferson thinks you're dead." he smiled.

                          
"Why?" I asked.

                          
"His messenger went to tell him you were dead before he saw your head come off. And now some gentleman is gonna tell him that you're still alive. It turns out he regretted signing the death penalty, and now wants you back." The guard responded.

                          
"Fine, And how's that funny?" I asked.

                          
"I just found it funny!" he rolled his eyes before closing the door.

                          
I looked at the wall, "Thomas regretted signing the death warrant? But he hates me!" I sighed. 

                          
"At least I'm not gonna die." I murmured.
