Hello!
"What were you doing on the road?" He asked while looking at front.
"None of your business. " I replied without a second thought.
He pulled the car on the sideway and looked at me with fire in his eyes.
"This." He held my mangalsutra in his hand and pulled a little, not hard enough to break it.
"This thing here, makes everything you do, my business." He said making an eye contact.
"This also makes everything you do, my business Mr. Malhotra but if you can't tell me how my own sister is doing, I might have to call this double standards. " I told him maintaining the eye contact.
"You are mine, but I'm not yours." He reminded.
"I have no interest in making those sorts of claims concerning you Mr. Malhotra, I just want to know about the person who is mine, my sister." I reminded him back.
"She is not even your real sister, you are the adopted child, why do you even care so much?" He asked with a little frustration and a little disbelief.
"She is my sister and nothing in this world can change this. You are asking me why do I even care? Mr. Malhotra, she is the only person I care about in this whole universe. When our parents left us forever, she was the only hope and responsibility that made me survive and even today she is the only little hope left in my life. She keeps me going, she makes me want to live, she is the reason why I live and you are asking me, why do I even care so much." I chuckled ironically and he looked away.
"And what if she never recovers?" He asked looking at me after some time.
"She will recover. " I replied with determination and he gave me a weird, ironical kind of smile.
"How are you so sure about it?"
"I just know it."
"What if she actually loses her life?"
"She won't be the only one then."
"Are you obsessed with your sister?"
"I'm just clinging onto my only hope."
"And for this one uncertain hope of yours, you put everything you had on stake? You married me for her, ruined your life completely because of her, how is any of this even sensible to you?"
"Love isn't sensible Mr. Malhotra, it's sensitive."
"Really? You mean to say that this stupidity is love?"
"I love her, she is my only family like Nakul and your Masi are yours. I can do anything for her and I did what I could in an attempt to save her life." I tried to make him understand.
"This is foolishness. "
"This is love Mr. Malhotra, something that you have never felt nor understood ."
"If this foolishness is love, I'm better off without this." He said looking away.
"Love is not for everyone anyways, it requires a heart, emotions and sensitivity which you clearly lack. Love is better off without someone like you. "
He looked at me for sometime after this and then without uttering a word, began driving again.

"Get me a glass of water." I heard him demand as soon as we got inside the hellhole.
This is what I like to call this place, a hellhole.
"Anything else, Sir?" I asked bowing a bit with a fake smile on my face.
"That's it for now but I'll let you know if I need anything else. " He replied sitting on the couch and not even sparing me a glance.
"So what's the plan? Are you going to treat me like your personal servant or something?" I asked and he looked at me.
"Nice idea, but we'll take about that later, go get me water first." He demanded.
Without another word, I headed towards the kitchen, checking my phone for any updatesfrom Navya. She hasn'tmessagedme yet and I'm feeling uneasy. As I got on the doorstep of the kitchen, I felt something near my feet.
Looking down, I saw a pathway of broken pieces of glasses, leading towards the counter from the door.
Seriously Mr. Malhotra?
****
"Here, your water." I kept the glass on the coffee table and he looked up in shock.
"How are you standing here like this?" He asked getting up and I gave him my favourite fake smile.
"I can always walk from the side Mr. Malhotra. The pathway was well shaped, not even a single glass out. Better luck next time." I informed him and he narrowed his eyes.
"Which daily soap did you watch?" I asked and he frowned.
"What are you talking about?" He asked and I crossed my arms.
"Okay, let me be more precise, which daily soap did you steal this stupid idea from?" I asked and he looked away.
"I didn't watch any daily soap." He denied looking away, causing me to roll my eyes.
"Oh c'mon Mr. Malhotra, tell me already! May be I can help you next time in choosing a better show, because this was a total flop." I told him smirking and he narrowed his eyes.
"Wait, was it Meri Doli Kab Uthegi ?" I asked him and he frowned.
"What?" He asked in confusion and I smiled.
"The show from which you stole this idea? Nimmi used to watch this show and I've seen this scene in it." I told him smirking and he turned away.
"What nonsense? The show's name wasn't this for sure." He uttered and then his eyes widened immediately in realization of what he has said.
I couldn't help but laugh and he just glared.
"Oh God! Then which one was it?" I asked still laughing and he pulled me to him.
"Stop laughing." He demanded and I put my finger on my lips.
He left my hand and looked away.
"There's a new show starting today, want to watch it with me?" I asked trying to control my laughter and he clenched his teeth.
"Get lost!" He demanded.
"My pleasure. " I told him before turning to leave but he held my arm and pulled me to him.
"Actually no, come with me. " He said before dragging me to the kitched with him.
He legit threw me towards those glasses and my feet came in contact with them. As I was about to fall on them completely, he held my face and pulled me out of it.
"Maa!" I cried in pain and he dropped me to the floor outside.
My feet were bleeding and those glass pieces hurt like hell. Tearing were continuously flowing from my eyes and the blood was oozing out, making me dizzy.
"She was bleeding too." I heard a whisper but couldn't pay attention because of dizziness.
"She was crying too." He whispered again.
"But nobody helped her."
"He let her die. "
"They killed her."
The words were getting hard to understand after this point and not much after, I passed out.
