I sigh relieved as I step out to the alleyway. Ever since the fans found out we were hanging out at Laverne's, they've been swarming the place. Besides that, Georgia has been all over me the whole night.
Don't get me wrong. It's all I've wanted for the past year, but I'm not sure if she's actually ready or if it's just the alcohol. And I know I shouldn't give in; I've never done that when she was this intoxicated. Yet, every time she looks at me with those dark brown eyes, I swoon.
How can one person have such control over me?
I light up a cigarette and let it rest between my fingers. It should relax me a little, but it's not working. My mind keeps going back to Georgia. So, I put the cigarette out against the wall.
As I'm about the re-enter the club, the door sways open, revealing Lucy trying to hold up a very drunk Georgia. I quickly go to Georgia's other side and take over the support from Lucy.
She wasn't this drunk 5 minutes ago...
"She took 4 consecutive tequila shots..." Lucy tiredly explains, as if she's read my mind.
"My god, George." I sigh, "I thought we would do shots together."
She perks up a little as she registers I'm now holding her up. Her arms quickly wrap around my body and she tries to squeeze the air out of me, but she fails.
"I think it's better if she gets some rest." Lucy tells me sympathetically, "I called a car to come around to the alleyway."
"Thank you."
Lucy nods before disappearing inside. I look down at Georgia as I push some hair away from her face.
"Oh, George... You've really outdone yourself this time."
She looks up at me with glazed eyes and a sloppy grin on her face. I've seen her drunk before, but never this bad. I guess she really was trying to drink her feelings away.
"I love you."
Wait, what?
"Excuse me?"
I frown. I'm pretty sure I heard it wrong. She did not just say that --
"I love you."
Nope, I heard it right.
She tries to pulls my face closer, probably to kiss me, but I do my best to keep her from making any mistakes.
"C'mon, George. You're drunk."
"KJ..." She sighs, completely leaning against me, "Don't be silly and just kiss me."
Thankfully, the car finally pulls up and I'm glad I don't have to resist too much. I hoist Georgia into the backseat of the car before I get in myself. She quickly scoots into the middle seat as she grabs my arm and hugs it tightly while entwining our fingers.
I would be lying if I said it didn't feel nice.
But I couldn't forget what she said. She only says things like that when she's drunk. And while my head is spinning from all the questions, my heartbeat hasn't slowed down. Here I am, with the woman of my dreams, in a position I've only imagined in my wildest dreams, and I can't fully enjoy it because I don't know if she actually means it.
