I walk in my home wanting to plump down on the bed and sleep for 24 hours straight. Instead, I walk into a dimly lit hallway. I frown as I shuffle on until I bump onto a set table, candlelight and a smiling Boston. I drop everything I'm holding on to and run up to him, wrapping my arms tightly around his neck.

"You're back!" I whisper excitedly.

"Yes, I'm back." He smiles against my neck before he lets me go, "I made dinner for you."

"Oh, thank you."

I follow him to the table and he retracts the chair for me to sit on. I kiss him lightly before taking a seat. He goes back to the kitchen as he grabs a bottle of the white wine I love so much.

"So what's the special occasion for all this?" I ask as he joins me at the table.

"Because I've missed you." He shrugs

"You are such a big mush." I smile lovingly, "I love you."

"And I love you."

Even though I had mixed feelings when KJ and I split earlier today, this is the one thing I am one hundred per cent sure of. I am fully commited to Boston, because I love him with all my heart.

"Thank you all for coming tonight to the first party of this production. As some of you may know, I have held up the tradition of hosting these, so everyone, from actors to crew members, can get to know each other." Georgia speaks with such grace, "I am humbled to have such a great team working together to make this film, a joint passion project of Martin and I, into something that will blow minds all over the world. But anyways, enough talk. Let's party!"

The whole group cheers as they raise their glasses to her before they all regroup and start chatting around. I look around, unsure who to speak to first, when my eyes land on her. She is standing there all alone in her classy pantsuit and all I can think of is how I want to rip it off her body.-

Nope, she's engaged to one of your best mates.

I sigh as I make my way to her, desperate to reconnect with her.

You should've never pursued the deal.

"Hey, you." I scrape my throat, startling my once best friend.

"Holy crap, KJ." She whimpers before standing a little straighter.

Her suit jacket was only covering a bralette and it's a great distraction. Especially now her boobs are a little pushed to the front.

"You should go and mingle." She nudges me, "Get to know a few of the people working on the film."

"You should do the same."

"Oh, you know, a perk of being the director is that you already know a lot of the people working on your production. Because you handpick themself."

"Right..." I nod awkwardly, "I wanted to thank you for the opportunity though."

"You deserve it." She touches my arm, "You were by far the best one out there."

"Well, thank you anyways."

"You're welcome." She smiles sweetly.

I lightly place my hand on the small of her back and she turns her body a little to me. Of course she's still prone to my touch.

"So where's your fiance?"

"Eh, he's in New Zealand. Wanted to spend some time with little Kenzo." She shrugs, "It would be better if we permanently lived out there, but yeah... My job is out here. Definitely one day, y'know."

A photographer comes around and asks for a picture of the two of us. Of course she agrees. She's always nice and saying yes. She smiles right to the camera while I grin down at her.

The camera flashes twice. Once while I was looking down, and once with me looking straight to the camera.

She thanks the photographer, before leading me to the backyard. She clearly needs some space from all the busy talking. The hanging plant gazebo she's taking me to, is dimly lit. Would she even-? No, never.

"Thank you giving me another chance, by the way." I tell her when we stopped in the middle of the gazebo.

She looks down, smiling faintly, like she's ashamed. She knows what I am aiming for.

"You know I could never stay away from you, Keneti." She whispers.

I'm feeling a little optimistic at the moment. She is clearly conflicted, yet I don't know what is going on in her head.

She touches my forearm, sending a tingling feeling through my body. I lean in a little, hoping she would wrap her arms around me like the olden days, but she doesn't. Instead, she takes a step back.

"I'm glad that we're friends again." She breaks the silence, "Well, getting there at least."

"Me too."

She sighs, smiling a little, as she comes a little closer and wraps her arms around my body. I'm a little taken aback by her actions, but I eventually embrace her as well. I tighten my grip around her body. Like I never want to lose her again.

"I'm going to mingle a little." She says as she lets loose of me, "Are you coming as well?"

"I'll be inside in a minute. You go ahead."

Her hand lingers on and I keep ahold of her until she's just out of reach. She's perfectly imperfect, and I need her in my life again. I don't fall in love anymore, because I'm already there at the bottom of the ravine, hoping for her to throw down a rope ladder.

Yet, I know it will never be like that again.
