My eyes flutter open as my left hand roams the chiseled chest of my fiance. The ring he gave me last night really stands out. Normally, I would mind wearing big rings, but this is a token of his love and commitment. How can I not love it?
I push myself up a little, knowing that I have to get out of bed before Vanessa comes barging through the door and pulls me out of it. Boston stirs and his eyes open just a little before closing again.
"Good morning." I whisper before pecking his lips.
He wraps his arms tightly around my waist, making sure I'm not able to leave.
"Where do you think you're going?" He whispers as he leaves a trail of kisses on my jawline.
I close my eyes, giving in a little, "I've got the brunch with the ladies."
"You can be late."
"Well, if you want Nessa to just barge in and find us in a compromising situation, be my guest."
He lets go of me and grins, "Don't wanna risk that. Again."
"That was all your fault though. I told you we had to lock the door first."
"If you hadn't invited her and her boyfriend to the same couples retreat, it would have never happened."
"Oh, you just shut up." I giggle, "I'm going to shower."
"Can I join?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because it'll take too much time if you join me." I wink before going in the bathroom.
I close the door, but not before Boston is able to shout, "You're such a tease, Georgia!" at me. I put the shower on to make sure I'll have hot water before I take off Boston's shirt.
I shower really quick and dry myself off quite quickly as well before I enter the room again. With only some undies on.
"No. Nope." Boston exclaims, "You are not allowed to tease me like that and not giving me any."
"You've had some last night." I retort as I grab some black pants and a white T-shirt that's cropped a little.
I pull them on quickly before Boston is able to pull me on top of him again.
"When is Nessa coming to get you?" He asks serious.
I look at my watch, "In like five minutes."
I turn around to put on the bracelets I put on the table last night as I feel his hands roaming the sides of my body.
"That's at least enough time for a quick makeout session." He whispers and I shiver.
He pulls my chin towards him, making me turn around completely. He presses his lips on mine as I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him close to me. He, on the other hand, pushes me back until my butt hits the desk, signalling me to get on it. I do so with his help of lifting me a little, and I wrap my legs around his waist.
He deepens the kiss, his tongue roaming around my mouth with enough breaks for us to catch our breaths. When he finally stops attacking me with kisses, he rests his forehead against mine and looks me right in the eyes.
"I give you my world." He whispers, and I just roll my eyes.
"Don't be so cheesy, babes." I giggle as I slightly push him away from me.
I pull my heels on when I hear a knock on the door. I quickly grab my jacket and purse before Boston could even think about continuing our little make out session.
"Are you two decent?" I hear Vanessa's muffled voice through the door.
"I am." I giggle, "Boston is not. I'll be right there."
I turn back to Boston, peck his lips and open the door.
"I'll see you tonight." I smile back before joining Vanessa in the hallway.
_________
We walk inside the little joint as the other ladies greet us with hugs. We all giggle and smile as we take our seats in a booth against the wall. And because they're all so great, I'm squished between Vanessa on my left and Camila on my right. A waiter brings us complimentary mimosas and we all raise them to toast.
"To Lili, who is getting married first of the squad." Madelaine cheers, making us sip our drink.
"And to Georgia, who is the most successful person at this table." Lili giggles, shoving the attention onto me.
"Oh, fuck you, Lil." I snort, smiling, while the others drink, "You got to stop pushing me in the spotlight. We're here for your wedding."
"If I had known all eyes would be on us, I would've eloped."
"There's still the possibility." Camila answers.
"I wouldn't do that to you guys."
"You better not." Vanessa grins.
"So, what is the 4-1-1 on everyone?" Camila changes the subject gracefully.
"Well, I mean, I'm getting married in 3 days." Lili shrugs, making us all laugh, "And after that, we're going to travel through Europe, starting in Paris. What about you?"
"I'm going to open my own vegan restaurant in LA." Madelaine says, "I want to make vegan more affordable, and a place where all vegan things taste amazing."
"I start touring next week, as opening act for Gee's brother." Vanessa smiles, "And the fact that he's single, I'm single; he's also good looking. Oh, my god! I mean, you never know."
Everyone agrees as I scrunch up my nose.
"Dudes! That's my brother you're talking about!" I groan while a shiver runs up my spine, "He's not attractive, nor hot."
"I beg to differ." Camila protests, "If I wasn't so devoted to my bae, I would totally tap that ass."
The women laugh as I fake throwing up over that statement. They love to see me squirm. And especially now, when my brother has been crowned People's Third Sexiest Man Alive.
"What about you? What lies in your future?" Vanessa nudges me.
"So, my movie '1914' has just come out, and we are still doing press releases. We have the campaigns for the Golden Globes, and then the Golden Globes itself. And hopefully, we're able to even just snatch an Oscar nomination."
"Now, has anyone else noticed how cheery Georgia has been?" Vanessa points out and I feel my cheeks heating up, "Even when we were worshipping her brother."
I roll my eyes.
"Yeah." Madelaine agrees, "What's up with that?"
I smile before I show them my left hand. The ring flashes in the morning sun that shines through the windows. All four of them look surprised from the ring to me and back to the ring.
I smile happily, "Boston bought me a ring."
