"And how did he ask?" Camila asks excitedly.
"We were watching the stars after the party last night, and he was talking about the time we hung out right before our relationship started. We did the same thing then. And then he kinda popped the question."
"You let it sound so not romantic." Lili laughs, "It's a beautiful ring though. Makes up for the awful storytelling."
"Oh, shut up, Lil." Camila rolls her eyes, "Yours wasn't even better."
"Well, at least it was better told." Lili says as a matter of fact.
"Are you ready to commit though?" Vanessa frowns.
She's been on my side at almost all major points in my life, yet she doesn't know everything Boston and I have gone through. I smile at her, knowing she only wants the best for me.
"Yes. I want to spend the rest of my life with him."
"Good."
"And what about KJ?" Madelaine interferes, "I really thought you guys might kiss and make up someday."
I feel the heat running up to my cheeks as I fiddle with my fingers, "I know everybody was hoping for that to happen, but I can't put my heart in jeopardy like that again."
I glance at the women before sticking to watching my fingers play with the ring, "Besides, I love my fiance."
I continue picking my eggs as the conversation changes into a less serious topic. Something they've just said had made my appetite go away.
_______
We leave the mani/pedi place as Lili adjusts the sash around her body. It's good that people don't quite recognize us, though I am pretty sure that there will be pictures on the internet later.
Vanessa swings her arm around my neck and pulls me away from the group a little.
"Let me look at that ring." She grins as she grabs my left hand, "Ugh. It's beautiful."
"Thank you." I smile.
"Are you happy, Gee?"
"I really am, Nessa. He really makes me happy."
"Then I am really happy for you." She smiles back, "But on a serious note now. Are you really opposed of me maybe dating your brother?"
"Heck no!" My voice goes up, "I would love for you to be my sis in law, but honestly, I don't manage my brother's love life. You'll have to seduce him by yourself."
"Oh, and I will try!" Vanessa laughs while I just crunch my nose.
We walk towards the next diner to have an afternoon snack, aka some great lemon pie, as we bump into the only stag party we weren't supposed to bump into.
"Well, well, well. Look who we have here." Cole smirks as he comes closer to Lili.
"This is our spot, Cole." Lili goes all up in his face.
They continue on as I spot Boston in the back, smiling at the whole ordeal. I shuffle to him, unnoticed, and wrap my arms around his waist. He jumps a little before turning around to face me. His smile lights up while his hands cover my cheeks and he pulls me in for a sweet kiss.
"What are you doing with the stags out here?" I ask sweetly as he breaks the kiss.
"Cole just showed up to the door and asked if I wanted to join."
"Well, ain't that sweet of him." I smile up to my fiancé.
He nods, "Although I think he might have had an ulterior motive. He's been kind of grilling me. He and Dylan together."
"Quite understandable." I shrug, "Since they're like my surrogate brothers."
The three ticks on my shoulder pull me out of the bubble Boston and I were just in.
"We're leaving, Gee." Vanessa smiles.
I'm about to say goodbye to Boston when Vanessa interrupts us again.
"Take your fiancé with you. Those two," She nudges in the direction of Cole and Lili, "decided to merge the two groups for an hour or two."
I grin as I intertwine my fingers with Boston's and we follow the group inside the diner. I sit down next to Boston as he loosely drapes his arm on my chair behind me. I play with the engagement ring on my left hand until Boston covers my hands with his free hand.
"Stop playing with it." He whispers, "I don't want you to break it already."
"But it's so nice." I whine, smiling at him.
"Yes, but do you know how much a repair costs for an engagement ring?"
"Too much, seeing your face right now."
I take his cheeks into my hands and press them together a little, making him do a fish mouth.
"You're unbearable." He muffles.
"And you're adorable."
"I feel like we're just thirdwheeling these two." Madelaine rolls her eyes as it makes me look at her.
"I'm sorry, Mads." I shrug, "Do you need some love?"
I stand up after she puts out her tongue at me, and I walk over to her, plumping down on her lap. I wrap my arms around her neck and start leaving kisses all around her face. Of course, she tries to pull away, but nothing's harder against me.
"Madelaine, can I get my fiancée back?" Boston calls out for the whole table to hear.
Silence overcomes the whole table and I look straight at Boston. His face is ridden with fear, glancing from me to Dylan, who's almost fuming at the mouth, while Cole is just smiling.
So he told Cole, but not Dylan? How rude.
"So you got engaged?" Dylan spits at me as he stands up, "And you didn't feel the need to tell me?"
I mimic him, standing up as well.
"It literally just happened, like, yesterday." I explain, "Besides, I haven't seen you today until now."
"He could've told us!" Dylan raises his voice, and I see everyone else holding their breath.
"Dyl... Why are you being like this?"
"Because the last time you fell for someone, you fell hard. On your butt. And you cried your eyes out with us. And we had to scrape you off the ground. I don't want you to go through the same thing."
I'm ready to fire back. I am so angry with him right now. I can't believe he doesn't even consider my happiness. I am so close to his face, wanting to punch him, but I hold back. I am so ready-
"Hey, sorry I'm late." A New-Zealand voice sounds behind me, "What did I miss?"

Yasssss, I AM BACK!
Alright so, this chapter took forever (+ I'm writing about 4 stories right now so it'a been busy).
Also, I'm working on a Riverdale fanfic as well. I'm taking my time for that one, but I'm already very proud of it. Would you read it if I started publishing that one after Summer Vacay? I promise I'll still be writing this one ;)- Tess
