Just that thought of being able to meet her parents made him happy. He would convince them how much he loved their daughter, and his only happiness in life was to be with her. He looked into her eyes, her eyes captured his heart and made him weak, yet the strongest he ever been. There was no denying the effect she had on him, she had changed him. " I'm so happy my love, so when can I meet them." He asked quickly, wanting to make a commitment as soon as possible. She smiled at his persistence, " Soon my dear, I'll talk with my mother and we will set a date. It will probably be for dinner, and my mother is a terrific cook, you'll love her food." She said as she traced his face with her fingers, making him weak. He was so enthralled with her and the way she made him feel, he could barely hear her words. " Can, did you hear what I asked," she said, " Is there a night that's better for you? " she asked again. His head was dizzy, she was so close, the smell of her perfume, and the pout of her lips, all seemed to make him spin. He shook his head slightly, to clear his thoughts, " Any night is fine with me, as long as it is soon, I'm ready to move to the next step as quickly as possible.
She knew the feeling, he made her feel things she never knew existed. The tingling feeling that ran up her spine as his eyes searched hers, the shiver of excitement deep down in her stomach whenever he touch her, the heat that rose up in her, making her blush when he whispered her name. Those were the things that made her realize what love is, those things she never experienced with Adin. Her fate had been sealed that night she stumbled and almost fell. He caught her, saving her from a life of being controlled and unhappy. How close she had been to ruining the most important thing, her self confidence.
She had to control the evening and not let things go to far, that's all she needed was to succumb to their desires before she was ready, making it all even more complicated. " Can, I need to go, I have to back in the house before my parents get up. I climbed out the window to get here, and if they find out they won't agree to meet with you." She spouted. He sighed but agreed to take her home. He dropped her off a block away from her house, she kissed him quickly on the cheek, smiled her big smile and ran down the street. He watched her until she was out of sight, then he drove back to the cabin. His was almost floating, he was so happy, but the thought of almost getting on that plane scared him. He had to learn to control that urge to run, he knew he never wanted to be like his mother and disappear without a word. It was almost dawn by the time he made it back to the cabin. He grabbed his bag and headed to his house. A quick workout, a shower then to the office. He hadn't been there in a couple of days so he knew they were probably behind. And besides Sanem would be there, that might have been the only reason he was anxious to go there.
She had did it, made it out and back in without her parents knowing, but Leila, that was a different subject. In 5 seconds after she closed her bedroom door, her sister tapped on it and walked in. " Where have you been Sanem, and don't you dare lie to me." She spurted with anger. Sanem spun around, surprised to see her sister there, " Leila, what are you doing here, why are you awake." She asked. Leila glared at her, " Well someone has to keep an eye on you, where have you been." She demanded, bringing her face within inches of Sanem's. " If I thought it was any of your business, I would have told you." She whispered, returning the glare. " I don't have to answer to you, so go back to bed." She turned to get her pajamas, so maybe she could get at least an hour of sleep. " You went to meet him, didn't you." She asked. " Mom and dad are going to kill you if they find out." She spouted. " They're not going to, are they Abla," Sanem said, giving her sister the look of evil. Leila sighed, " Sanem, your going to get hurt, I just don't want to see that." She answered. " Canbey has never had a serious relationship, he's a womanizer. Even the woman in London he had been with for years couldn't keep him, so what makes you think you can." She snarled. Sanem's eyes opened wide, " What woman in London, what are you talking about." She demanded, pointing her finger in Leilas face, " You had better not be lying to me about it either." Leila knew she had told her something she shouldn't have, but it was to late now. " Canbey's girlfriend, her name is Polen, she's some big shot scientist there, and apparently they have been together for quite some time." She announced, hating that she was having to tell her that. Leila continued on, " Rumor has it, that they broke up a little while back, but that's happened before and they got back together. I'm just saying, she may have something different to say about what's going on between you two."
Sanem felt like she had been punched in the stomach, and all the air had been knocked out of her. " I wonder why he never told me about her, he never mentioned anything about a girlfriend or an ex-girlfriend. Her heart sank, had he been lying to her all this time. There was only one thing to do in a situation like this, ask him point blank if it was true, and pray for the right answer. Her hopes of getting a little sleep had went right out the window. Her brain was running around in circles, she wanted to call him and ask, but thought it would be better to wait and talk face to face. The more she thought, the more angry she became, " Men,...why do they think they can do whatever they want when it comes to woman. Treat them anyway they want, without consequence." Well, this woman isn't going to stand for it," she raved to herself. She may have been involved with Adin when Can come into her life, but that relationship was a toxic one from the very beginning. It had just take her a while to see it, and Can knew about Adin from the beginning, she didn't hold anything back from him.
She hoped Can would have an explanation for keeping something like this from her..... she had realized that her feelings for Adin were not the right ones, in fact, she learned she really had no feelings for him. Maybe this was the same with Can, it was just a meaningless relationship, one of convenience and nothing more.
As they took the bus to work, her mind was on the conversation she would have with him.....
" Please, don't let this be over before they even have a chance to be happy." She prayed, feeling her heart break little by little......
Sorry everyone about the mention of Polen, but she will be short lived in this story, so don't be too upset with me about it. Sometimes you have to have a little spice in these stories to get the best outcome.......thanks for reading
