You're the serenity before the storm
But the violence in my waves
The pollution in the ocean seabed, unbehaved
You're the identity of someone good
Covert and so misunderstood
'Cause pollution only makes for toxicity we breathe into our own head
I maybe misread a couple times
But you, I'll never understand how you could make me cry
I'll never understand why
Such a pretty face, such angel eyes
You're most calm before the cacophony
You're Lyssa in Sancus's skin
The whispers in my mind, serpents in my hair, insecurity rooted within
You're the pounding alarm of false comradery
The illusion of trust and belief
And I wanna believe, it's so hard now but I see you and all I wanna do is offer all I bleed
I maybe misread a couple times
But you, I'll never understand how you could make me cry
I'll never understand why
Such a pretty face, such angel eyes
You give me your hand and I'll take it
I give you my trust and you break it
You drown me with the voice that comforted my wounds
It's an incessant horror that if I dared to offer again, it'll just be abused
You give me your hand and I'll give you mine too
You're too beautiful to lie yet you do
I maybe misread a couple times
But you, I'll never understand how you could make me cry
I'll never understand why
Such a pretty face, your hazel eyes
