Kabanata 18

"Lets go? May dadaanan pa tayo."

Hinatak na niya ko palabas at sumunod  sumunod naman ako na gulong-gulong pa rin sa sinabi niya. 'Because we're friends'. Ano ba talaga?

"Hasta luego,dad." I said to dad when I saw him in the garden. "Disfruta el hoy." Pagkatapos noon ay tumulak na kami kung saan man.

"Where are we going?" I asked him during the trip. "Secret." He answered without looking at me. Daming alam eh. Baka mamaya set up pala lahat ng toh. Baka dalhin niya ko sa tagong lugar tapos pipilitin niya kong magpakasal tapos magkakanak kami. Mambabae siya tapos mag-aaway kami tapos maghihiwalay kami,isasama ko ang mga anak namin. Magpapakalayo-layo kami ng hindi niya alam kung saan.

Fuck that imagination. I hate being overthinker. I just stay quiet the whole ride and then after a few minutes. We enter on a cemetery. This place looks familiar.

Calvin and mom. Dito sila nilibing. I suddenly felt a pain into my chest but I control myself not to cry. Car stops at the graves. Ady look at me and held my hand before we decided to go to my love ones grave.

Ady put down the flowers and light up the candles that he brought. "Ngayon ka na lang ulit nakapagbakasyon dito kaya dalawin mo sila." He murmured. I just keep on standing since im wearing dress.

"I miss both of them. Its been a years. Its been a years since I was living on the dark. Christmas and new years without them was like a day without a sunlight." I said and I felt his hand rubbing my back,trying to comfort me.

We stay silenced for a while.

"Calvin... I hope your sister will find a man who will love him like she's the only star in the universe. I hope she will find a man who will wiped away her tears during his rainy season and a man who will light up her day during summer." He said sincerely while looking at calvin's grave.

I keep looking at him while he was talking. Sobrang gulong-gulo ang isip ko habang pinakikinggan siya. Why he is saying those words? Hindi naman pa siya mamatay,di ba? But there's a pain in my heart while im listening to him.

Gusto ko siya yung lalaking pupunasan yung luha ko tuwing uulan at ang lalaking magbibigay liwanag kapag sikat ng araw. Pero bakit hindi siya iyon?

"Alis na tayo?" Aya ko sa kanya para di niya mapansin yung luhang nasa gilid ng mata ko. He nodded. Sumakay na ulit kami sa sasakyan at hindi ko na alam kung saan ang tungo namin. Hindi na ako masyadong pamilyar masyado sa daan dahil sobrang tagal simula ng umalis ako dito.

I didn't noticed that I slept on the car during the trip. Ady just woke me up when we got to our destination. "Hey...were here." He chuckled. Do I look like a zombie? I don't wear mascara since its just an ordinary day.

"Sorry. I slept." I said and get myself up. "Its okay. You look tired,huh." He chuckled at inayos na din ang sarili niya bago kami bumaba.

When we got outside his car, i realize that we're in his parents house. Kinabahan tuloy ako bigla, "T-This is your parents house." I said and look at him. He was looking around like finding someone.

He hold my wrist, "h-hey, sandali nga lang..." Tinggal ko ang pulsuhan sa kamay niya and he looks confused.

"Kung itatanan moko ngayon, sabihin mo hanggang maaga para makapaghanda man lang ako. At sa bahay pa talaga ng parents mo ah? You're extraordinary." I fixed my hair and my clothes.

He laughed out loud, "Ano ba yang iniisip mo? Asa ka." He looks disgusted to what I said. Hindi ko alam kung masasaktan o matutuwa sa sinabi niya.
