A few days have passed and you walked into the park to read. As you got close to the bench you normally sit at, you saw a guy sitting there. He was wearing a hoodie but you saw blue hair. You bit your lip. You really wanted to read because you just started the P's. You slowly walked up.
"S-Sir?" You whispered. He looked at you. His skin looked dry and he had a small scar on his left lip and right eye.
"C-Can I..." You stop and start to shake.
"N-Never mind." You say and turn, starting to walk. He would just tell you to go away or hurt you anyways.
"You can sit." He said. You stopped and turned, facing him.
"W-What?" You asked, almost unsure of what he said. He moved over a bit.
"Sit." He said and smiled. You didn't move. He smile seemed off but he was being nice. He then patted the spot next to him. You gulped and walked over, sitting. You took your book out and turned to the P section.
"A Dictionary?" He asked. You gave a nod.
"Y-yeah." You said and turned the page.
"Pagophagia." You whispered and tilt the book down, repeating the word a few times quietly. You then looked at it again.
"A craving to eat ice, often associated with iron-deficiency anemia." You whispered. You then felt the guy grab your arm with four fingers. You froze. He was on one of your new bruises that a lady gave you just a few hours ago.
"So. Why aren't you in school?" He asked, squeezing his fingers a bit. You had tears. It hurt but you looked at him, putting your book away so it wouldn't get dirty when he hurt you.
"Y-You must be n-new. I-I don't..." You started but a rock came fling by and hit you in the shoulder. You pull your arm from the strangers hand and hold your now injured shoulder. You hear laughing and you hold in whimpers. The rock wasn't a small one, maybe the size of a fist, so it hurt a lot. You then stood, ready to run away, but the guy reaches and grabs you with four fingers, making you stop before you run.
"Don't go. We aren't finished talking." He said. His tone was the same as others. You had more tears before you sit. You looked at him. You were obeying him, like you did with the others so maybe he wouldn't hurt you as bad.
"Why aren't you in school?" He asked again.
"I-I don't go t-to school." You say. He nods and squeezes your arm again. You hiss in pain. He looks confused and rolls your sleeves up, seeing the bruises. He looks and sees your collar. He moves his hand from your arm and reaches for the collar. You move away slightly. His hand stops.
"Why do you have this?" He asks, putting his hand down. You look away from him.
"Please. If you are going to hurt me, just do it. Stop with this playing dumb stuff." You say. He gave a glare.
"Answer my question." He said. You look at him.
"Because of my quirk." You say. He gives a nod.
"I won't hurt you." He said. Your eyes had hope for a few seconds before it fades. He must be lying. Even if you obey, they always hurt you.
"Don't mind me. You can keep reading your book." He said. You didn't move and watched him as he sat, watching the people. You could hear them laughing and a few waited to see if you would be hurt. You took your book out and turned to the page you were on. After a while, he stood. You looked, assuming he was going to hurt you now but he looked at you and smiled. This smile was different from the one he had before. It seemed kind, like Shoto's and Enji's.
"I will be here tomorrow. Same time. I hope you will join me." He said. You gave a small nod. He then walked away. You put your book away and sat there.
Did you just make a friend?
