Chapter 2 - Control

You sat on a park bench, just like your mommy and daddy said to do. You were five and holding your Endeavor doll. He was your favorite hero because he was scary and made you feel safe when others talked about you. You liked to pretend that he was protecting you. 

"Look. It's her." You heard and looked. You saw people glaring at you and whispering about you. You held your doll closer. You knew why they hated you. It was because of your quirk. You could make anyone's quirk stop with in ten miles but you couldn't help it. It just happened. Your mommy and daddy said you hurt a lot of good heroes the day you got your quirk and were still hurting them. That was a week ago.

"(y/n)." You heard your father say and smiled. You got off the bench and ran to him. 

"Daddy!" You say as you got close. He took your hand.

"Come on. Mom is waiting for us. She wants you to talk to someone." He said. You gave a nod and walked with him. You saw a huge building and you both walked in. Once in, you saw your mommy and she was talking to a skinny guy.        

"This must be her." The skinny guy said. Your mother gave a nod. 

"Yes. (y/n). Come meet All Might." She said. You smiled and ran over to him. 

"All Might! You must know Endeavor! Can I meet him?" You asked, holding your doll up. All Might looked shocked at that and looked at your father. 

"You didn't tell her why she is here?" All Might asked. You gave a frown and looked at your father. 

"No. She wouldn't have come otherwise." Your father said. All Might sighed. 

"All right. (y/n), come with me." He said and took your hand. 

"Why am I here?" You asked as you walked with him. You looked and saw your mommy and daddy weren't following. All Might didn't answer and lead you into a room. It reminded you of a doctors office. 

"Have a seat. I will be back." All Might said and closed the door. You held your doll closer. You were scared so you didn't move. After a few minutes, All Might came back in. 

"All right (y/n). We will be putting this on you." He said and held up a collar. Your eyes got wide. 

"No!" You screamed and ran from the room. 

"(y/n)!" He yelled in anger, chasing you. He caught up to you easily and grabbed your arm. You started to pull. 

"No! No!" You yelled and hit him with your other hand, dropping your doll. 

"Stop it. It's for the best!" All Might yelled as he tried to get you to stop hitting him. 

"What is going on?" You both heard and All Might looked. 

"Endeavor." All Might said. You looked at him with tears.

"Endeavor! Help!" You yelled, reaching out for him. He looked at you. He then saw your doll near you and walked up. 

"Let her go Yagi." Endeavor said. 

"Enji you know..." He started but Enji gave him a glare. Yagi sighed and let you go. You ran to Enji, hiding behind his leg. 

"Let me speak to her." Enji said. Yagi gave a nod, giving him the collar and left. Enji moved a bit and bent down, picking up your doll and turned. 

"You must be (y/n)." Enji said, handing you the doll. You took it and gave a nod. 

"Yes." You said. He smiled. 

"Come with me and lets talk." He said and walked. You followed him and he walked back into the doctors office. You came in and he patted a chair as he placed the collar on a table. You sat down. He bent down, going on a knee and looked at you in the eye. 

"You know about your quirk?" He asked. You gave a nod, holding your doll closer. 

"Then you know that heroes like myself can't do our job protecting the city." He said. You looked down.

"But I don't want to wear the collar." You said. You saw Enji move and sit next to you in another chair. You looked up at him.

"I know its scary, but heroes do scary work, right?" Enji asked as he looked at you. You gave a nod. He gave a smile. 

"Then even if this is scary, you will do it right? Because your like me. Your brave." Enji said. You thought for a second before you gave a nod. Enji moved and grabbed the collar, putting it on you and you heard it snap close. Once it was on, Enji took a step back. 

"There. Lets see it it works." He said and made his flames appear. You watched in awe and smiled. 

"Endeavor your amazing!" You say. He smiled at you and walked closer but when he was within an inch, his quirk stopped again. He gave a small frown at that but smiled again and patted your head. 

"Thank you." He said but saw you frown and touch your caller.

"Why can't it be a bracelet or necklace?" You asked. He bent to your level again.

"Because it could come off. With this, it won't and you won't hurt any heroes, because your a hero." He says and stands, taking your hand.

"Come on. Lets go back to your parents." He said and took your hand. You followed, seeing your mommy and daddy. Your father had the quirk of elastic. He was made of rudder and your mom could control the air around her. 

"Looks like this worked. It is now only within an inch or direct touching." Enji said. They gave a nod. You looked at Endeavor. 

"Endeavor? How long do I have to wear this?" You asked. Enji looked at you. 

"Forever." He said.
