When you made your way into the cafeteria at lunch the next day you found Bryce resting his foot on your seat leaning over to talk to Indiana. Before you can take another step you see Addison enraged storming across the lunchroom and don't know whether you should rush over or stand back and hide. Bryce stands up straight with a look of fear as Addison pushes him backward.

Addison: "Are you kidding me Bryce?! What happened to I don't need to keep talking to her??"
Bryce: *putting his hands slightly up in surrender* "I was just asking a question about math homework"
Indiana lets out an accidental laugh then tries to choke it back so she doesn't make it worse and you shake your head in disbelief as you stall at placing your tray down
Addison: "You win Indiana! You want him? Keep him. You and your overgrown child of a friend can give him a ride home from practice from now on"

The way she snarled 'your friend' and called out the fact that you were always teased for dressing the same as you have since elementary school overwhelmed your emotions and you felt tears brimming so you ran to the bathroom. When you finally came out still drying your eyes, Noah and his sweet smile was waiting with your bookbag outside the door.
Noah: "C'mon, let me drive you home"
You: "We still have 3 more classes..."
Noah: "I know... but let's go"
He threw your bag over his shoulder and held out his hand for you and pulled you towards the parking lot. You had never skipped class before, but there was nothing that could stop you from following him wherever he wanted to go today.
You pull up to your house and it occurs to you that you never had to tell him how to get there the day before either.. Did he remember after all this time?? You are really stalling this time because of how quick he was to drive away yesterday. He surprised you by pulling the keys out of the ignition and hopping out. He grabbed your bags and said: "Will it make you feel better about skipping if we work on homework?"
You smile and walk ahead to unlock the door and peek around the corner to make sure the empty driveway was accurate and your mom wasn't home. The house is empty as you pace around the house trying to look busy so Noah can sit first and avoid the awkwardness of assuming where he wants to hang. Its all so new so you just don't know how to act.

He sits on the couch and makes himself at home so you sit next to him and pull out your book. He laughs and reaches across you to grab your phone charger to borrow. He brushes against you leaning in so close that you can smell his cologne and it makes you dizzy in a way that feels incredible.
You: *giggling* "Sure Noah, go ahead and borrow my charger"
Noah: *winking* "You love me"

Her jaw hits the floor when she sees Noah leaning against you holding a photo of you and him as kids you'd found and both of you laughing so hard. Noah had to leave soon after Indiana got there.
