You rush inside still in shock from Noah’s offer and stand against the door completely out of breath. All the girls turn towards you and giggle assuming why you are out of breath. You bury your face and hide your smile behind your hands peeking out to see if they are still all staring.
You: “We were, um talking”
Dixie: “Is that what we’re calling it now?”

You: “He was telling me about the party after prom that’s all”
Addison: “We all saw his car in the driveway with fogged up windows so don’t play innocent now”
Indiana: *laughing* “And if that wasn’t enough, the tag hanging off your inside out shirt says it all”
You: *throwing yourself face first on the couch in panic* “He may have also mentioned getting a room for just us after”
Dixie sat next to you asking a million questions while Addison and Indiana couldn’t contain their laughter. Dixie motioned for them to go into the other room realizing that you were actually starting to panic a little. They headed upstairs to change into pajamas and after a few minutes the awkward silence returned as they realized they were alone and had never really spent any time together that didn’t end in an argument.
Indiana: *breaking the silence* “Addison… I’m sorry”

Addison: “For what?”
Indiana: “You know what… I was wrong to jump into something with Bryce knowing that you two weren’t totally over”
Addison: “We needed that break to be honest. There was so much pressure to stay together when neither of us were really happy so it was kind of a blessing in disguise”

Indiana: “But you’re happy now?”
Addison: “Sometimes things need to fall apart to fall back together the right way”
Indiana: “I just wanted you to know that I’m truly sorry and now that I have Blake, I realize how awful it’d feel if someone tried to come between that”
Addison: “I promise, we are all good. Everything worked out how it was supposed to. Let’s go back down and check on the girls”
The next day when you get home, you are still sleepy from your late night with the girls. Your mom follows you upstairs and tries to have another talk.
You: “Mom, I was invited to a party after prom with the girls. Is that going to be ok?”
Mom: “Just the girls?”
You: “Not exactly, it’s going to be all of us girls and our dates and a few other friends so not really a couples thing.. Just a bunch of friends hanging out”
Mom: “I want you to have an amazing night. So as long as you promise not to drink and drive… You can stay at the party all night and come home in the morning”
Your mom is being so sweet and understanding you feel bad lying to her, especially after you promised to tell her if things between you and Noah got more physical. You just can’t risk her freaking out before anything officially happens, so you decide you’ll tell her if and when anything actually happens to tell.
Later that night, Noah facetimes you like he does every night. You answer, but your mom takes the phone.

Mom: “I’m trusting my daughter with you, Noah. Don’t make me regret it”
She hands you back the phone and smiles before leaving you alone in your room
Noah: “Well that wasn’t intimidating at all”
You: “I told her about after prom”
Noah’s face flushes bright red so you reassure him that you only told her about the party, not after the party
Noah: “Are you ready, for, uh… prom?”
You: “I’m ready to have an amazing night with you that’s for sure and anything else that happens will be exactly what was meant to happen”
Noah is satisfied with that answer and changes the subject to school and spirit week. Monday is couples day and everyone is supposed to partner up and dress as their favorite famous coupe so you start to plan for that
Before you hang up, you notice Noah is being very quiet so you decide to bring prom night back up
You: “If you’re not ready to like do certain stuff I really meant it when I said I wasn’t in a rush either”
Noah: “Are you having second thoughts?”
You: “Are you?”
Noah: “I know you are who is meant for me… in every way possible”
