Dear Mom and Dad,

How have you two been? I've been coping. A lot of things have happened since I last wrote to you.

Granny was hospitalised earlier this week, but she was discharged yesterday. Tomoyo has been keeping an eye on her all the time, checking in on her more times than she can count. Granny is doing fine, though she wondered what had came over her.

Oh, I forgot to mention to you in my previous letters, but I made a few new friends over the past month. Two of them are called Nijimura Okuyasu and Hirose Koichi. They're good pals with Josuke, and they're both very helpful and kind, like him.

I also befriended a girl in my class called Yukihira Nanami. I call her Nana, and she's a very bright and bubbly person. She reminds me of big brother, they share a lot in common.

School has been going alright. I find that I enjoy Modern Literature more than Arithmetic these days. I must be transforming into an art student.

I've also been requested to join a few clubs, like the Art and Literature Clubs, but I declined. Tomoyo joined the Theatre Club, and she told me that she'll be performing in a play in the summer. Granny and I are so proud of her, and I'm sure you guys are too!

I promise to record her performance and mail it to you guys in my next letter. We miss you, and I look forward to hearing from you two soon.

XOXO,
四宮 (y/n)

. . .

Days had passed since your encounter with Yukio, eventually turning to weeks, and a month. Spring was ending, and the dawn of summertime had crept up to you.

More things had happened in reality, which had not been mentioned in your letter. Back then, Josuke and you had to plot a carefully planned tale to tell Tomoyo and Granny, so as to not involve them in the mess the two of you were involved in. And of course, they believed you. Yukio had sworn over his aunt that he wouldn't hurt the Shinomiya family again, and that he would let bygones be bygones. You had agreed, albeit reluctantly, and Josuke had patched him up that day.

Despite the bizarre happenings over the past month, you knew you had to move on. There was no point pulling a sulky face anymore. The most you could do was work harder, to ensure your family wasn't on the line again, and strive to protect those around you.

However, lurking in the shadows of your shadow self was a traumatic experience that terrorised you ceaselessly in your dreams. And due to the recent events, the realistic nightmares had been aggravated over the days, and you found yourself tormented by the same one again...
