I was in a cranky state and my mind was all over the place, yet my best friend still had the audacity to strut his ass back and forth across the room, my uniform in both his hands. I rolled my eyes and sighed as I stared at the alarm clock on the side table that read-- I NEED MY SLEEP AND CLASSES ARE STILL LIKE FIVE HOURS AWAY-- 3:04 AM.
"Luca, what the hell are you doing here? It is three in the morning." I asked with a tired face as I groaned and hid my face under my pillows. I was so tired from all the sleepless nights of thinking and over-thinking of all the things I am putting myself into. Finally, I got to sleep tonight, but then this over-sized peppa pig came running into my room.
"Baby girl, you are going back to high school. Aren't you a sugar bit excited?" He asked, finally giving up on my uniform and settled beside me on my bed.
"I need my sleep. Go home and come back here at seven." I said in a monotone voice, still under the coziness of my comforter and giant pillows. I shooed him with my hand as I turned the lights off with a clap.
Luca clapped again and the lights turned on.
"Luca!" I warned as I clapped once again.
"Oops." Luca said as he clapped and the lights turned on.
"I am in no mood to play games with you, Loco.""But I AM."
I stared at him with scrutinizing eyes as I slowly get up from my bed and approached him with my fist clenched. Luca stared at me with challenging eyes as he placed a hand against his hip and set his eyes straight on mine.

With all my might, I hit him with a pillow which I reached out nearby sitting on the floor. Luca was caught of guard as he tried to run away from me and reach towards my bed to get a pillow for himself. There was laughter and screams. No one cared about the neighbors nor the sleeping people outside the halls.
After a couple of minutes, we slowly retreated on the floor with sweaty faces and tired breaths, yet we still have grins on our faces and wild beating hearts. We stared at each other, sharing a message telepathically that only we could understand. We chuckled as I went close to hug him tight.
"I miss you, Loco! I thought I'll never see you again..." I said with teary eyes.
As we hugged each other with misty eyes, a knock suddenly came on the door almost giving us both a fright. I immediately stood up from the floor and stared at the door with wide eyes. Luca and I shared a look before I went closer and opened it.
It was Brayden."Oh my gosh! Did we wake you up? I am so sorry. My friend... he came up early.... and... and..." I was a blabbering mess as I guiltily looked down, careful not to meet the eyes of the person in front of me.
"No. It's not that!" He hurriedly broke me off."Dad made me come here early to tell you that you're going with Luca to school. I'm not coming with you for your first day." He said softly as he played with the ends of his sweater.
"Uhmm... okay." I replied as I waited for him to leave.
I closed the door, deep in my thoughts. I slowly turned behind me, absent-mindedly to be met with Luca wearing a surprise face as he sat frozen on top of my bed. I stopped on my tracks as I took a deep breath and gulped.
"SPILL THE FREAKING TEA, BI--"***

I walked down the pavements of Red Banks High with my chin up high and my grin reaching the end of both my eyes. My hand was going numb as I waved it up in the air to greet my friends and schoolmates that was happy to see me back. Luca and Bree walked together with me with their envious fashionable looks and bright aura, making me ask myself why did I wore a dull-looking sweater and my least favorite pants for my first day.
"You look fine. Cheer up!" Bree said as she pat my shoulder.
Bree has been my friend for the longest time. We met when she moved into town and Luca introduced her to me. Since then, the three of us are inseparable."Can't wait to get this day started!" Luca squealed before someone bumped into him causing him to fall
"Sorry. You were on my way." One hell of a woman had the audacity to speak. She was in her pastel innocent pink outfit, holding in her one arm were her books and binder.
"Next time. Know your places." She added more and walked on her merry way before glaring at Luca and especially me.
Wow! So much for my first day.
"That b--" Bree cursed before Luca covered her mouth.
It was the daughter of the owner of the school that we bumped into and speaking ill of her will truly get us in big trouble. So, it was better to shut our mouths."What did I tell you, Breeball?" Luca scolded Bree which she rolled her eyes into.
"I so hate her. Her name is Heaven, yet SHE IS THE OPPOSIT--" Bree screamed on top of her lungs almost having the attention of everyone in the hallway. Thankfully, Luca covered her mouth again before she could cause more damage.
Before we could talk more on the subject, the school bell rung which got us running for our lives for our first subject.

Though, not before I saw Brayden coming out of his convertible holding a foreign girl's hand with a smile on his face and a familiar look on his eyes.
"That was how he looked at me when we were thirteen, when he used to like me...."
