this isn't gonna be a super long chapter, because it's pretty straight forward but for you girls who may be new to your period, this is for you <3
-
- change your pad/tampon every couple hours. (if your period is heavier, change more often according to when it's needed)
- don't sleep with a tampon in. (this can risk very serious infections such as TSS, so change into a pad at night)
- shower daily (whilst on your period, you may be more smelly, or just feel gross, so make sure to keep up with showering)
- gently rinse your vagina with water (tmi but avoid soaps because they can cause irritation, but make sure you're still cleaning your vulva)
- don't layer up with multiple pads (can cause infections or irritation, if your period is heavy, change more frequently instead)
- make sure you're using deodrant 2x daily (I suggest roll on because it lasts longer and doesn't stink out your clothes)
- wear comfortable clothes and underwear (this is more for comfort, but tight clothes may irritate you <3)
- keep up with skincare (my skin is more sensitive and prone to painful cystic acne during and around my period, so don't neglect your skin)
-
i love you <3
