ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Still waiting in his office Michael was about to go an get himself a coffee when his hired P.I Doug enters his office.

"Dude do you own a watch?"

"Yes I do but not that my personal life is hindrance to my work but my daughter was sick so I had a little something I needed to take care of."

"Well if that was the case I do understand, but since you are late how about we jump right into it. Tell me what did you find out, is she okay? New York is a nasty place if you don't have money or friends, family or a place to live."

"Ya that is true and I have to say you guys did really fucked up her life here, left her with nothing and no one it seem that everyone she reached out to had already picked a side and it wasn't hers. But to Robyn surprise there was still one person who was not going to let her down, leaving her out to dry."

Michael knew how nasty he was toward Robyn but he didn't want to think about that now, "What do you mean?"

"Locating her you should know she no longer goes by Robyn Brooks she changed her last name to Campbell and she doesn't live on the mean streets of New York thanks to her step father. Unlike you or her so called friends he made sure she landed on her feet."

"Watch it Doug, and what did Stuart do?"

"Well I found out he gave her money and a car and the owners of the Bank of Trust, Mr. and Mrs. Tucker who I believe you know as well they gave her a home, a gorgeous one I might add."

Mentally Michael was pissed that meant when he saw them they knew where Robyn was and knew he was looking for her and yet said nothing. They call themselves his friends.

"Dude can you stop with the bit and pieces and tell me what I paid you to find out."

"She moved into her new home in Orange County and has a job at a law firm...."

"What law firm? I knew she wasn't going to let go that easy she's going to try to fuck with me."

The P.I could do nothing but shake his head at the comment.

"Think again she really is trying to build herself a life, and from what I observe even though at the moment she may find it a little lonely and also dealing with some depression."

That comment made Michael chime in, "How do you know she's lonely and depress?"

"That's what I am paid to find out but also she has made herself an appointment to speak to a therapist claiming it for depression. I suggest you let her be, she been hurt enough. Oh! and the Juilliard thing was true but once she was broke so was her dreams."

After the P.I left Michael fell back in his chair and thought about how he's known Robyn since they were kids and her dream has always been the same to become a performer. They all had these big goals him to become a great lawyer, Renee seemed to want to be famous by any means. Him and Robyn fell in love and they went off to college together, but once they graduated she put her dreams on hold. She seen how his goal was a little more expensive then they thought. When times got rough his girl goes out and got two jobs making sure he made it through law school, not thinking about her goal until he pass getting his law degree. When she was finally able to focus on herself he tells her he didn't want kids and he didn't give a damn about her and Juilliard.

Clare pulls him out of his thoughts, "Is everything he said you did true? Did you really hurt and betray your wife like that?"

Michael looks up and see Clare must have over heard him and the P.I talking, "I'm not proud of myself...."
