"Son you know her?"
"Sort of....She probably don't remember, she was being harassed by some gentlemen leaving the court house."
"I remember Officer Johnson."
For Paul and Caroline as long as their brief contact was a good one they were happy and the way they are looking at each other it seems like their plan was working out better then they thought.
"Well Robyn there is no need to be so formal please call me Dean."
"Okay Dean I guess it's true what they say about it being a small world."
Paul who was patting him self on the back interrupt to two, who at the moment seem to be in their own world smiling and gazing at each other.
"How about we all have a seat, the food will be coming out soon."
Going to take his seat next to his wife he finds her to be missing, "Where did your mother go son?"
"It's a party dad so knowing mom I'm guessing she off talking up a storm."
Taking a look around, "Yup, I was right there she is greeting and talking to people over by the bar."
"Okay you two have a seat talk, I'm going to go get your mother."
Dean couldn't believe he was talking to the woman that had captured his full attention in a way no else has the very second their eyes met even if it was only for a couple minutes. There was definitely an attraction between the two but being on duty at the time as while as his sergeant being present making a move was not possible. Dean thought it was just be one of those moments in life when you will just have to wonder 'what if'.
Looking over at Robyn, "This is crazy but in a good way, wouldn't you agree?"
This was the one exception when Robyn didn't mind remembering a moment in her hurtful past. "Ya I would agree."
"You do know I wanted to talk to you, get to know you so much that day but I knew it would have been bad timing. My boss was there and you seem to be going through some heavy personal problems, but I swore if fate gave me another shot at bumping into you I would make sure not to throw it away."
Smiling back at Dean not knowing how to respond to such a statement, "You seem to be a very out spoken person."
"When I see something or in this situation someone I want I don't hesitate."
Another comment making Robyn blush for the tenth time, "Just keep'em coming, your going to have me thinking that I am actually a good looking female worthy of attracting someone as handsome as you."
Laughing the two talk some more and is soon re-joined by Dean's parents Paul and Caroline and Tim and Dominic when the food is brought out. After having a delicious meal Dean asked Robyn to dance which she couldn't say no to. The thought of being is his arms made her feel in a way that has been absent in her life for a while.
It being his mother's birthday the DJ played some olddies taking the party goers back to the 90's with Brian McKnight, 'The Only One For Me'. Listening to the song as she dance with Dean feeling his hands on her, wrap into his embrace, she felt the DJ was playing a joke on her picking that song, a so true for her feelings at the time.
Dean's focus was on getting as close to Robyn as he could pulling her close, feeling her body against his he thought nothing ever felt more perfect, she belong in his arms.
