Chapter 33

Octavia's POV

I was just walking back from the beach, where I was thinking for a long period of time. The first thing I heard when I stepped foot in the small house was wheezing and sobbing. Bellamy was nowhere to be seen and Clarke wasn't downstairs like when I left anymore. I followed the sound quickly and that's when I saw Clarke having a bad panic attack, all by herself. I helped her until her breathing returned to normal and she was crying on my shoulder for a moment.

"Want to talk, tell me what this was all about?" She nodded, and I took her hand in mine to take her to the bedroom we shared. Clarke closed the door behind her and sat next to me, on my bed.

"Bellamy and you both have been acting really weird today so when you were out I took the opportunity to go and ask him what was wrong." She started. "And at first his door was locked, he didn't want to open it but when he finally did, I saw his eyes. They looked nothing like the ones I fell in love with. I asked him what was wrong and he broke up with me. He told me you had made him rethink our relationship and that it was fucked up that we loved each other because we were family. I got mad because just this morning, he was super sweet and out of nowhere he broke up with me. He started getting really angry, and he shouted at me to get out. He was drunk Octavia, just like, just like with,"

"Just like with Finn." I finished for her. She nodded and her eyes filled themselves with tears. I felt so bad, I never meant for any of this to happen when I talked to Bell earlier, I just had second thoughts on their intentions and future. I didn't think it would end up like this.

"He scared me so much Octavia, and I couldn't help myself, the memories just all came back and it was like I was living these moments over and over again but with, Be- but with Bellamy. I kept seeing his angry eyes, hearing him scream at me and I just couldn't help it. I was so scared."

"I get it Clarke but you have to know that Bellamy would never harm you, it's just not who he is."

"You should have seen him." Clarke muttered under her breath just loud enough for me to hear. I was about to say something again but we both heard the front door open and Clarke headed downstairs to go see her mother and daughter. Before I could even say a word, I was left alone in the room, blaming myself for what Bellamy did to Clarke and himself, to them.

When I got downstairs, Clarke was holding Piper in her arms while Abby and my dad were storing some supplies in the kitchen cabinets. I wanted to go talk with Clarke, but things were so complicated. Now was not the good time, she was with her daughter and the parents were back at home. I also wanted to go talk to Bellamy, but he was drunk, and I couldn't reason with him while he was that drunk. I could especially not let the parents see Bell in that state because that would be very suspicious. So I decided to let Bell and Clarke both take time to relax a bit and then I would talk to them both the next day, once they would have regained all their senses. I was brought back to reality when my name was called.

"Octavia! I've called you like three times, are you okay?"

"Yeah, sorry I was just lost in thoughts, what is it?" I asked searching for the voice that called out to me. When I turned around I saw Abby looking slightly confused for a second, but she replaced her frown for a sweet smile when my eyes reached hers.

"It's fine honey, do you know where Bellamy is, because Marcus and I thought we could watch a movie with popcorn tonight if you'd like." Oh jeez, I had to think of an excuse and fast!

"Oh, ummm, Bellamy has been asleep for a while now, he wasn't feeling so good after the flight, so I don't want to wake him you know?"

"Yes of course darling, you'll let us know if there's anything he needs?" She sweetly asked. I nodded.
