Luke:
"A little forward like one step. Ok now. Set it down." Calum says to Luke. The boys are helping you and Luke move into your first house together. Luke refuses to let you carry anything heavy, so him and Calum picked up the couch and brought it into the living room while Michael and Ashton bring on of the bed frames up the stairs to the master bedroom. Luke feels around and sits down on the couch. Calum walks up the stairs to help out with Michael and Ashton, who are having trouble maneuvering the bed frame around the stairs into the room. You sit down next to Luke.
"Getting tired?" you ask, grabbing his hand and leaning on his shoulder.
He sighs, “yeah. it’s just hard when you can’t see what you’re doing. I feel like you’re making all these decisions on your own and my friends have to follow through on them and I’m barely doing anything.”
"Luke, you’ve moved a tv, couch, mattress, and entire kitchen’s worth of appliances and we’ve only been here for a few hours. That’s insane."
"But I wish I could help more."
"You’re doing so much, though. It’s amazing seeing you guys do all of this. It’s like seeing my dreams come true just seeing our first house together."
"I wish I could see it with you."
You know that there’s nothing you can say to make him feel better. He only says this when he’s really depressed and there’s nothing you can do to make it better. You wish you could help him in any way by making him able to see, but you can’t. You never have a response. Instead you nuzzle your head into his chest and move his arm so it’s wrapping around you because you know it makes him calmer to know exactly where every part of your body is.
"Hey babe." his voice makes you feel a hum in his chest and you look up at his face.
"Yeah?"
"Do you want to go get the dinner table out of the moving truck with me?"
"I’d love to." you smile, but you know he can’t see it, so you plant a kiss on his lips, letting him know that you’d really love to.
You both walk out to the moving truck when Luke starts to speak again.
"Babe."
"Yeah?"
"Why’d you choose me."
"Because I love you."
"Why?"
"Because you’re perfect."
"But I can’t even see."
"I don’t care about that, you know why? Because you’re the only person I could ever love, you know that, right?"
"I just don’t know why could don’t go out with someone that can see you and take care of you instead of someone who needs that kind of care."
"Because I’d run around the world for you. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do. It sounds cheesy, but I would. I love you, Luke."
"I love you too."
Ashton:
You hear a crash and you run downstairs. Ashton had been up doing God-knows-what and you were terrified. You were staying at your family’s beach house and Ashton wasn’t quite used to the house yet.
"Ash?" you ask, seeing him on the ground in the kitchen.
His head shoots up to the place you were in when you spoke as you grab his hand to help him up.
"Are you okay?" you ask once he’s up.
He nods.
"Are you sure?"
