Juanita's POV
Crap!
Slowly, I turn around to face Daniel.
"Daniel" I smile at him. "Have you been there long?" I ask.
He takes a seat beside me, Kharo and Sophia, sitting opposite us.
"Nah. What? Was there something I wasn't meant to hear?" He asks with a puzzled expression.
I wave my hand dismissively. "Nonsense" I say. "I was just about to inform the girls about this party we were invited to"
"A party?" Kharo raises her brows.
"Yeah" I bob my head
"Who's party?" Daniel asks
"Melvin's. He called me earlier, inviting me to the party. He said I could bring some of my friends, so...." I trail off.
I hear Daniel's indistinct sigh. "Thought as much" he says under his breath.
"Wow! Does that mean handsome guys would be present?" Sophie asks.
I scrunch my nose. "I thought you liked Mr Gerald?" I ask.
I remember her swooning over him again a couple of weeks ago."Well, I do, but.....he has a girlfriend" she says dolefully.
"Aww....that's too bad" I reply.
"I know right" Sophia says withe the same doleful expression
"I don't get why every girl in school is swooning over him" Daniel retorts.
"Come on! he's handsome and all." I explain.
"Don't tell me you're among them?" Daniel face palms.
"Of course not!" I playfully swat his arm.
"Thank goodness" he sighs.
I can't possibly like Mr Gerald, when I clearly have mine to handle.
"You what?" They all ask in unison.
"What?" I ask in confusion.
Wait! Did I say that out loud?
Crap!
From the surprised look on their faces, I probably did.
I mentally face palm myself
"Tell us, Who is the lucky guy" Kharo wiggles her brows.
"I...I don't know what you're talking about" I reply nonchalantly.
"Oh come on! You practically just blurted out you have a crush on someone!" Sophia whines.
"Not literally. You guys just implied it"
"Do we know him?" Kharo asks, totally ignoring my remark.
"Is it Melvin?" Sophia asks.
"I...I...I need to go. Classes start in..." I check my wristwatch and thankfully, classes start in "three minutes" I say hurriedly, before standing to my feet and dashing out.

Cassandra's POV
I angrily stomp into the living room, my dad is on the phone, standing behind a couch. I roll my eyes at the sight of him as if he feels my presence, he turns around to face me.
"We'll talk about this later. I gotta go." He says, before hanging up.
"Cassie" Rolling my eyes again, I march out of the living room.
