~Lori's POV~
I watch as Trey walks away. I think about what he said : "I love you for that." The words kept repeating in my head. Words that I've heard before. Words that...that....
I'm interrupted by the sound of Josh's voice.
"Hey Lori."
I look up "Hi." He sits right beside me.
"Look I'm sorry, Lori. I didn't try to hurt you back there. I was just worried about you."
"I know Josh and I'm sorry too. I should've never said that. I didn't mean it."
"I know princess" he said as he hugged me. "So I see that you've entered in the talent contest?"
"Yeah I did. I'm a little nervous though." I said sheepishly.
"Don't be nervous, Lori. Walk on stage with a whole lot of confidence in you and sing. I just know that you could do it."
"Wow. Thanks dad." I said as he laugh.
"You're welcome princess. Now come one. We need to get you to class" he said as he got up and helped me up.
He walked me into my third period class and said goodbye. I hugged him and got inside class.
"Hmmmm.....what song should I sing for the talent contest?" I said inside my head. You know what? I'll just think about that later. I focused back on my teacher.
