Zoey and Clay walked hand in hand talking about the embarrassing things that happened

Zoey soon gasped thinking of a memory

"Remember when I slipped off the fell off the slide trying to run down it and broke my arm?" She asked and clay laughed "yea, I thought you were gonna die" he said with a smile as he looked down at her and she laughed "I thought you were not gonna wanna be my friend because I didn't know how to run down a slide" she said "I think you did good..well until you broke your arm" clay said "ha. Ha." Zoey said with a smile "you didn't ever tell me about that boy who sighed your cast" clay said and she smiled

"He was my crush. People thought signing casts were cool so he signed it and I never threw away that cast, even when they cut it off" she said "so you still have it?" He asked "nope, I threw it away because I didn't like him anymore" Zoey said and clay laughed "that's harsh, what gonna happen when you don't like me anymore?" Clay asked "not possible, I'll never stop liking you" she said

Alex, Clay, and Zoey all sat in Zoeys room

"I can't believe you guys finally dating, you were blind enough" Alex said to the two and they laughed "I was surprised when he asked me" she said and clay smiled as he admired her smile "I'm glad I asked" he said and Zoey turned to the boy and kissed his cheek

As Zoey was about to speak their was a knock on her door "come in" Zoey said and her door opened revealing Merida "come on guys" she said and they got up quickly and following after  the lady

They got downstairs to see Alex's parents, Clays parents, and zoeys grandpa all at the huge table that was set up with food

"Hi guys" Zoey called and they looked towards the girl seeing her and the boys "hi" the parents as in unison as they sat down at the table smiling widely

"Now tell us all about your first experience" Merida said as she sat down and they all started eating, laughing at the jokes that were made here and there

"We have a surprise for you guys" lainie said and they all looked at her and raised their eyebrows "how much would we like that surprise?" Clay tested his mom and she laughed "I think a lot..." lainie said with confidence and Zoey placed her hand over her chest gasping jokingly at Lainie's confidence

"Check outside" mr standall said and Zoey looked around "did I finally get a car?" She joked again "maybe" Merida said and Zoeys head snapped towards the lady "just check..." Zoey grandpa said making everyone laugh "fine." Zoey said as she stood up

Clay and Alex following after the girl as she opened the front door to see Zach, Tony, Charlie, and Jessica standing there

"Holy shit!" Zoey says as she ran over to her friends hugging Jessica first

"I missed you" Jessica said into her shoulder "I missed you too" Zoey smiled lightly as they pulled away from the hug as they held hands "I have so much to tell you" Jessica said and Zoey nodded "I do too" she said with a smile and they dropped hands as Zoey went to hug Zach

"You got taller" Zach teased "yea, I'm going to be about your height by Christmas" Zoey joked along as they laughed and Zoey went to hug Tony; tightly

They pulled away from the hug and Zoey went over to Charlie and hugged him "Alex has been lonely.." Zoey joked and he laughed "well now I'm here" Charlie said and Zoey smiled as they pulled away

Their parents admired as their kids smiled happily at their best friends as they joked around standing around

"Come on guys, let's continue this dinner!" Mrs standall said and they smiled as they walked over to the house and walked inside

The other teens got their food, adding four more chairs as they all talked in laugh

Zoey didn't feel anything but happiness

No one felt guilty, far from guilty

They didn't even think about how dark their past was back in this town. All they could think about were the smiles on their faces as they talked

Zoey couldn't help but think of Ani, she felt bad that the girl wasn't here. Yea they didn't have a great relationship, but she did miss her

"Wait..." Zoey called and Clay looked over to the girl and nodded "Clay and I have some news" Zoey started and Alex caught onto what they were talking about.

"And what's that?" Merida asked happily

"Zoey and I are officially dating" Clay said and everyone went quiet with huge smiles on their face

"Yeahhh!" Zach deep voice boomed; cheering making everyone laugh as they started cheering for the two

"Finally!" Jessica said as she pulled Zoey into a hug "Justin would've been so happy" Jessica whispered to the girl and Zoey nodded "very.." she said as they pulled away; their smiles still big

"I saw this coming" Matt said and they laughed

The room was filled with laughs, happiness, and love

They didn't even think about how they were supposed to be heading back to college in a day

All they could think about was how happy they were to be around each other again.

Nothing negative was on their minds

They were all happy and didn't want anything to change.

Zoeys pov

This was the best day I could ever ask for. I was back home with my family and friends, my face hurts from smiling, but I didn't plan on  stopping. My smile never left my face as we talked about the things that went on at college or just life.

Today is a great day, and i don't plan on ever forgetting this day.
